Markets not stocked up

Don’t know if it’s a bug, but I’m seeing my markets constantly not getting stocked up with the available food. And the capacity of the market is nowhere near full.
E.g. market has smoked meat and fish available, but doesn’t stock veggies, fruits or grain even when those are available. Meanwhile the grocer has a status of “unable to find work” (or similar). On one hand this causes some houses to upgrade slower, due to now meeting the food types requirement and on the other hand this often leads to spoilage of untouched food like bread.
Don’t know what’s the issue and if I’m able to somehow manage it with the available game mechanics?

I have the same issue. Root cellar literally right next door to the market, root cellar is full of a wide variety of food. Market has barely anything and I have no idea what the grocer AI agent thinks it is doing.

I’ve also noticed that market workers do hesitate to stock market with luxury goods like pottery or candles which makes citizens to make their way to production buildings or stores in order to find these goods (and yes, checkboxes in market are checked)

I have the same issue.
The workers in the market do not stock variety of food. Not mentioning other goods like luxury one (I have some candles in the market but that is all). Most common problem is with the soap. Once in a year the whole village drops everything and run to the storage for soap. Even when I have few houses in range of the market the same situation (with 2 workers in the market). What is worse, the market workers run for the food faaaaaaar away to huners huts outside the city at the second end of the map instead of taking food from the nearest storage where the item is avaliable.

Regarding the micromanagement I find it also strange that hunters leave their work to transport small amount of produced goods to the storage in the city centre. It would be great to have some kind of storage which can be build outside the city as the temporary one (f.e. near hunters and Foragers which are often far away similarly to mines and work camps) where the goods will be collected by transport wagon and put in the main storage.

Well, i had this pretty much happening and i started to look for reasons why. I found that i had 2 or even 3 markets sharing the same radius of work and that is what was causing them to become idle and unstocked. I moved them away to different areas and this got better! Stocking got higher and none of them get idle anymore. But still the problem with lack of food when theres a root cellar nearby remains. Yesterday i got 2 running into the woods, far off the city, to get MEAT with a hunter when i had +1k stocked in the root cellars. That drives me crazy🤦🏽‍♂️

Yes same for me, my warehouse is full of food (meat, vegetables, fruits) but this dumdum goes to the hunter house (that is further away) pick 20 meats and then just stop working. My food is getting spoiled and my villagers are catching scurvy from not enough fruits and vegetables! So frustrating. Plus since nobody is able to get vegetables or fruits Ican’t upgrate the houses. I’m stuck.
