Meanwhile in D3 powercreep

Raiment of a Thousand Storms
The (6) Set bonus has been increased from 13000% Dashing Strike damage to 60000%

I died laughing

When i stopped playing the top set was Uliana with frost EP and SSS
Good lord that dmg was out of this world

D3 was the only game I tried to refund and the only reason why I sold my bnet account.
I consider D3 as a scam >_< Its not action rpg, there is no action in it. No character creation, no gameplay. A barren with floating clusterfuck of meaningless yellow numbers .

Warborn needs a mod to Cadence that gives it 60000% damage.

But only when using a 2H weapon

Diablo 3 gameplay is incredibly smooth and satisfying, imho, it looks and play awesome. But gear design is really limiting, not much room for creativity.

D3 combat is extremely smooth yes, better than GD imho

I have to agree here, it felt very smooth and dynamic.
That was the only thing that kept me playing. And maybe multiplayer. And mask that allowed you to summon clones that casted spider queens.

0 character customization and constant power creep ruined the game. I didn’t even bought the necromancer character pack because it felt like scam.

agreed, the skirmishes had polish, but to me the whole game rang hollow. Awful story, no char customization (other than items), and crappy cartoon graphics (I like the realistic graphics of TQ and GD much better) killed it for me however, fast

in D3 the Action aspect is fun but the RPG aspect is really lacking depth. Still I had about 200 hrs of fun with the game, I was mainly playing a Monk with explosive Strike or whatever it was called and my buddy was playing Barbarian with that Pull skill, forgot the name as well :stuck_out_tongue:
It was a perfect combination, he’d pull the monsters into one spot where I exploded them all at once. Much fun but the inevitable min-maxing stage is super boring for me so I am glad I switched to GD instead where The Journey is very rewarding.

I just realized we are fast approaching April. Wonder if they have planned any in-season April Fools Joke.

This isn’t the same blizzard you grew up with, they do any fun april fools jokes anymore.

Probably because they realized they can’t top the D:immortal announcement :stuck_out_tongue:

Right we all miss the skill tree that made D2 the new ARPG game generation at all time

Diablo: Everlasting. Fully fledged Diablo 3 experience in a board game.

Yeah, and teamplay is also superior even though boring. This is why i have at least the same hours in it than in gd+poe together, even though i haven’t touched it for years now. It was quite fun to push greater rifts with a few good friends, at that time.

But gear design and just the game mechanics overall are over-simplified to the point that i (like many others i assume) cba to go back to it again after being spoiled by gd/poe.

At this point, I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they actually released a board game based on diablo…

Not a good one, mind you. But like the worst board game in the history of board games.

TBH, i’m not missing the Skilltree of Diablo 2(and i have to point out, i grew up with Diablo since the beginning of the Series, and i would argue Diablo 2 might be one of my most played Games ever), because with modern Standarts i don’t find it good anyways. Sure Grim Dawn / TQ wouldn’t fit either, but Torchlight 2 had actually an good approach which would’ve work very well for an Diablo Game. I also liked the initial idea of Diablo 3’s Skilltree, if you remember Guys, which UI was similiar to the classic skillconcept of World of Warcraft, with the feature of put Runes(as dropped Items) into your Skills. But about Diablo 2 Skilltree itself, i can’t say anything positive about it nowdays, because it aged pretty horrible. Than again, infact i miss a Skilltree in general and might so far the biggest flaw of the Game, because with the rest i was pretty statisfied, i mean diablo 3 is my most Favorite of the Series for a Reason.

Smoot and Amazing Combat, an Artstyle / Graphic Engine, which can if you can get into Cell-Shading Optics still deliever proper Diablo Atmosphere(atleast comparable to Diablo 2, Diablo 1 in other Hand can’t even be challenged with Diablo 2, there is no competition) plus such graphics age better. Best Story / Storytelling for Diablo and any Hack’n’Slay so far, and the Lore / World / Monster / NPC Design itself is something, which is why i never can count “Grim Dawn” (or any other major HnS) as true successor (or the common argument "that’s what Diablo 3 should’ve been) because without the characters like deckard cain, or major well-known enemies, lore aspects and such, diablo wouldn’t be diablo and is the reason why Grim Dawn never can replace diablo for me(the same goes vica versa, GD is it’s own thing). To say “Grim Dawn is the new proper diablo 3, because with the real diablo 3 i’m dissapointed” would be like to claim that Hobbit 3 is what Star Wars VIII should’ve been, or even worse one of the modern Star Trek Movies…
If it comes down to the OST / Score, i’m pretty thorn, because while i love the OST of Diablo 3 and have some really rememberable music, it’s not the same without matt uelmen… Diablo 1+2 had the vibe of “horror”, while diablo 3 overrall sounds more “epic” like (dark) “fantasy” what you would expect from Lord of the Rings movie.

But then again, i won’t argue further, i have bad experience with talking people about competitors and i’d argue if we begin to talk about diablo 3, even the “nice” Grim Dawn “community” shows their “toxic” and “hater” Nature…

Gotta love the “but Diablo III has epic music” :stuck_out_tongue: just listen to the music then, like me xD
