Melee Cadence Mechanics [v1.2.1]

And the WPS work fine? Markovian used to be not DPS efficient due to its longer animation for 2h Cadence builds. The animation got sped up in 1.1.9.2 I think…

you’re testing in live scenarios? - because then you get affected by slow, fumble etc

atleast for my part when testing/doing a “base” test it’s against dummy (including the keyboard/vs mouse slowdown), actual fights will be much different because of debuffs existing

Yeah I am careful when I talk about the behaviour, I have seen it in the boss room and facing just one Nemesis at a time.
Deliberately omitting fumble and dodge, which IMO makes 2H cadence clunky as it suffers a lot relative to other melee builds.

Before I respec’d I should had tried to find another boss that does not die too quick without mutators, but many as you appreciate can cause fumble.

When it happens it was pretty obvious, and yeah I am talking this happening mid fight with the Nemesis, nor is it such as the dmg reduction/absorb/etc I am talking about.

After what mi023 mentions I think it may be a combination of factors, each time I was in SR with this I also had such as crippled/etc.
But ideally I need to restore the char and try a non-mutator boss room and see what factors are contributing to it.
Ideally I should also try a different weapon.

TBH I doubt many play 2H cadence builds that has198-199% atk speed before any easily triggered speed increase procs (ignoring prismatic diamond as not reliable source), and with just Markov and Zolhan.

Yeah they are fine, its specifically cadence, but thought it worth asking mi023 as was wondering if it interracted negatively with cadence in this situation.
Ironically the build is now less stressful to play at SR85 and more solid since I reduced my atk speed.

Nemesis have debuffs too, so it’s not really a good measurement unless you’re clocking the specific boss, while checking that boss doesnt’ feature any of the potential debuffs that can factor in for melee
*aside from the mutator mentions ofc

For sure and it was not that, nor such as Zantarin’s life steal resist etc :slightly_smiling_face:
Like I said I am aware of the dmg reduction and various debuffs they apply, also noticed it on other shattered bosses that last longer.

But like I mention, the animation was speeded up but not noticing as often the cadence nor its lifesteal relative to the standard hits.

When I get time I will see if I can restore the original and use a different Voldrak that gives me 200%atk speed standard, and also use a different 2H weapon type.
BTW it was fine with a much slower Voldrak but dmg was less as my main is a top rolled triple rare (only reason I did a Cadence build),
A lot of variables but was hoping mi023 had a simple answer.

yeye, but that’s the thing, that can literally easy be because of fumble/DA or DR/Absorb
Morgo is a great example of this, even if you’re not damage reduced, his absorb automatically means your leech goes down, regardless of speed
this is why it’s important to have all the details (which i get is hard for something in the past that wasn’t recorded) - point being it leaves so many variables up in the air it becomes harder to conclude what’s happening, since it can by any metric literally be as normal as it could possibly be
^made worse if it doesn’t present itself on a baseline test like dummy (which is ofc impossible to measure leech on so wont be the same metric either)

Yes but I have played the game long enough to know fumble DR/Absorb and from which bosses.
If i was new to the game your point with Morgo would be valid, or you could also mention Iron Maiden.
We are going in circles, but honestly I know its not those factors because I watched out for them.

yea, but you can’t see absorb or DA  - so you have to know the boss this occurs on, that’s why i asked about that specific
they have a lot of hidden stuff/you have to confirm with GT - likewise with slow, if you’re not checking “in that exact moment” in your sheet, you might never know it’s slow, because it’s just bundled in with a different debuff that displays something unrelated in the corner icon, likewise for hit rating

I know the bosses and I know about the DA on bosses at X health.
It not that lol.
If it was then why am I now fine using slower setup…

literally rng can explain it? “which could be explained by everything i’ve said so far”
that’s the issue, hence the specifics because it’s a live fight and not dummy/static test

Frankly I doubt I would be doing builds to SR95 if I did not know all this,

And only when I proc my speed buffs?

yes, again, because basically every enemy in the game has slow debuff, so you proccing speed could literally put you in X specific speed where this happens, but without knowing that and tying it on dummy and dummy confirming this, even briefly/randomly intermittently, it becomes extremely hard to tell because of the multitude of variables presenting itself in a live fight

Another example,
what else when just fighting Reaper in a boss room would stop damaging him significantly when it is at 75% and was going fast until then?

I do look at my char sheet when this happens.
Like I said I have played the game as long as you, done all Season community league bosses multiple leagues, etc.
I am not a noob at playing the game lol.

not what i’m saying, it doesnt’ require being a noob, but being an expert doesn’t mean stuff can’t be missed, in fact it’s quite common for veteran players to still miss stuff, because there is so much going on with GD enemies

again, this is not me digging at you, i’m saying what you describe can be explained by regular vanilla interactions, because of the amount of variables present in your scenario, it’s not a 100%“clean” test environment
i’m not saying what you’re saying happened didn’t happen nor can’t happen for the reasons you think, i’m merely saying it’s very possible they happen for normal reasons, and if not present on dummy it gets harder to speculate about

Reaper of the lost without the spirits?
And was fast until 75% and then tanked for longer than 5 seconds…

BTW where are you getting that from the SR Reaper?

spirit debuff lasts past spirit death, spirit debuff lasts for 6-8? seconds, “it could explain it”…

As I said they arent around, I know about spirits and you kill them asap.
Again where did you get the dmg reduction from Reaper itself?
