There is no need for hunter after long aim to just not shoot the bear if it closes in to near melee range. It is just a waste of the aiming time. Let just go the arrow - it should be clear strong hit from nearby. It is better to use arrow from 5m away than run and wrestle with the bear. Can start the knife fight when animals are chewing the legs or something.
