Minimum Road Length

Any idea why road sections must be at least 5 tiles long?
This coupled with a certain “clunkiness” to road positioning can often leave 1-2 tile gaps in my road networks.
Or put another way, can this not be addressed, say have roads as a sequence of 1x1’s? - so that we can also choose which bits of roads to upgrade or even tear-up (if we want to do some rearrangement of things after a few game-years)

I can drop roads of 2 tiles.

Possibly check for something in the way. Go out to a length then back in to a 2 tile. I don’t think you can select one as it has to start on a road or go somewhere. :wink:
