seriously deep mines are a pain in the proverbial, you start a map and you have the resouce guide telling you whats in close proximity, you then click on where you want to start just to find that the resouces are “deep mines” which you cant use until level four town hall ! so whats the point of that ? you need to seriously reduce the deep mine % compared to ordinary mines, maybe put a cap on how much ordinary mines produce to balance it, but yes deep mines total pain.
Deep mines don’t produce as much as ordinary mines do.
They don’t and that is the problem–they take way to much labor for a very low amount of product–the regular mines are better and I really hope that they balance this out somehow–it is a real issue.
Except for the gold ore, I imported all the remaining resources. Those workers should do something more useful
even after import. My small city with a maximum of 600 people is always in a state of labor shortage. I can’t imagine how it would work if more buildings were added. I don’t know where we will get more workers.
Only really useful one was the stone quarry, and my games rarely progressed far enough to need the others, unless I ran out of mines close to my town. They also needed “heavy tools” which meant I had to have a foundry making nothing but heavy tools. I bought coal and iron ore off the merchants whenever they were cheap.
