I would like to see midgame and endgame version of this relic so that it is more usable throughout the whole game. It would expand build options. Adding total speed and more resistances or OA and DA would be nice for the new versions. Also prolonging the charge duration to 2 seconds would be nice QoL.
this is actually the early-game relic and, imo, it is used mostly for builds with no AA replacer. In endgame, you have Savagery (well, you have it from the very beginning as well), RF, some sets also provide their own AAs.
And there’s a plenty of super-strong endgame relics that make this one absolutely useless even if it has divine version.
Yes it is an early game relic and there are still class and damage type combinations that could use new version of this later. I have for example made a DW physical Cabalist using this relic. I could see more builds if we had a version with better stats. I don’t even necessarily want a better skill but better stats on the new ones. Resistances and total speed would be the most helpful or OA and DA. Changing the % physical damage to % all damage would also be nice.
+1 from me. An endgame-viable relic for classes that lack aa replacers would be nice.
I greatly support this as its one of the very few attack replacers for classless and unarmed builds. A mid-late game version would help support build diversity amongst this niche play group, and keep the spirit of Grim Dawn’s depth and build diversity running strong!
For some HC classless builds, it can be beneficial, and would be a good competitor to Shard of Beronath at level 55 on a build that doesnt use elemental damage if a mid-game version of the relic was created, at the very least.
The bonuses Beronath gives to elemental are trivial. The only use case where it’s actually bad is for physical builds where it’s actively converting away from your desired damage type. Most other damage types aren’t impacted by the conversion and stand to benefit a lot from the auto replacer.
Except if you’re using a physical build
Is there any mastery pairing that lacks a respectable physical AA option that itself is not a meme pairing for physical?
Vitality Cabalist, physical Cabalist. It could be used with physical witchblade. Doesn’t have this type of AA. I would think of even more. It would be nice to have it in endgame. Memes are not bad.
While memes most certainly are welcome it seems a tad unreasonable to bring out a mastery pairing that lacks +% phys damage and a physical exclusive as an example in making the case for more AA replacers.
Re: vitality. Bero shard doesn’t have issues on vitality, not sure why this was mentioned.
Classless?
Game is not built for classless.
If you chose to hamper yourself, don’t expect the devs to modify items based on that reason.
witchblade has both cadence and blade arc that do well.
Hahaha, so bitter!
No expectations! Just requests.
Perhaps expect is the wrong word. The devs won’t consider such a thing because you are adding constraints to your character build and its outside the game’s design, i.e. classless.
However, you can create a mod and add in your own modified Mistborn Talismans for the levels you want.
That’s the reason modding exists.
I guess this logic begs the question- would an upgraded version of this relic create significant balance issues?
No, it wouldn’t but some people just don’t like build diversity.
If it wouldnt create balance issues, then I certainly dont see the harm in requesting this, and furthermore I support the notion since it would add a little spice to the HC classless experience, which is fine the way it is, but its always exciting to get a new viable gear option in HC classless.
Yes, there really should be a high-level (endgame) version of this relic. It would open up many builds, e g.where two classes can stack a lot of flat damage (Warlock, Death Knight, Spellbinder, Cabalist…), but have no aa replacer.
Of course, it should be visibly weaker than aa replacers provided by masteries
