[Mod Compilation] [DAIL]

yeah wraith seems to be an aura only - working as intended.

had me worried. i fired up all my folder and grep searches then checked in game after a quick search and confirmed what i found.

Thanks man, really appreciate it!

edit. Damn dude you’re fast lol. Thanks for checking into it, I’ll hope over to the Necro thread and ask for some clarification.

Keep up the great work

edit2. Ooook, just figured out how it works. It’s a damage aura that hits enemies in a small radius around your character. No visual or audio effect on you though, so it’s a little confusing as to what it’s doing when you turn it on. Sorry for the false alarm!

I looked at LUA. looks easy. afk all day doing RL stuff i think i can start this tonight.

i’m 100% newb on this but it seem that according to

http://grimdawn.com/guide/settings/Grim%20Dawn%20Modding%20Guide.pdf

Shared.getUserdata(objectid)

Is used to get some information on the user? would that let me check skill points or attribute points? How do i check this? is obectid the fields in the .DBR files?

how do i test? do i need to hijack an npc and make a conversation?

mostly these are notes to myself for research tonight.

but if someone can help my nubber self then i would appreciate.

Another thing i have in mind :stuck_out_tongue:

ItĀ“s possible to set the price of stuff, mainly potions, according to the level range of the character, to keep the importance of the iron in the game? higher the character level, higher the price… i firstly thought in changing by difficult, but in this way itĀ“s easily cheated by transfering heroes from higher to lowest difficult i guess

So im about as mod illiterate as they come lol. How do I update when you do cause i tried to update to version with Ranger/Necro but it didnt work its still the same version as before?

decompress the zip file then move that folder into the grimdawn\mods folder

i should put instructions in the first post sorry.

yeah exactly. anyways i have some ideas of how to use money. but i need to learn how to make quests and write LUA code

Thanks very much

Hi, I’m having an issue getting the skill point in Dual Blades to stick… For some reason it keeps disappearing and I’m losing a skill point each time.

edit: This is in version 0009

that is odd. i just tested with a test char. i added 4 points and exited and came back and they were still there.

i then tested _imhotep that you uploaded

he accepted the points ! i was able to quit and log back in and he still had the points spent.

maybe 0010 fixed the problem ?

I did a full archive rebuild for 09->10 so it might have cleared up a few things.

nice drops by the way. RNGesus has treated your self found (im guessing) trickster very well

also… when you update to version 10. please delete your existing DAIL directory in the mods folder first. just in case you have some xtra files in there somehow.

Haven’t played GD in a while so I decided to try this and it’s really good. One thing that’s annoying is that early leveling is so freaking slow compared to vanilla. Is it because of the grimmest mod? It might just be me, but killing these giant hordes of monsters and heroes (only level 12 right now) only to see my exp bar jump an inch is really discouraging.

i’m going to look into this. maybe i can curve the xp. id like the lower levels to go by fairly normally.

if it goes too fast then you wont have gear and will be ā€œstuckā€ so that ist he other problem. i think vanilla speed is good for that imho.

from my own testing. around level 50+ with high faction action, the hero population and hero kill xp bonus seems to really make leveling ā€œfastā€ again. i went from 86 to 87 in about 30 minutes of facerolling a challenge area full of heroes with my blade master.

anyways can xp be curved? ill check into it.

Yeah those hero packs don’t joke around with the loot  RNGesus be praised.

As far as I can tell, updating to v.10 has fixed the problem with my Trickster, now I gotta figure out how to get my skillpoints back.

Thanks for checking it out!

GD stash or GD defiler will let you do that

just copy your save to main fodler (DONT LOAD GAME) make the changes, then copy back to user folder.

unless of course you imported a main save and have done the symbolic linking. in whicih case just fire up the editor no worries at all.

XP can be curved also monster xp was set to 25% of regular.

ive changed monster xp to 80% of regular and I’ve curved the xp using a math formula so that xp is ā€œvanillaā€ until level 50ish then it ramps up quickly to 53% extra xp per level by 100

this will be in update 0011

update 0011 will have lots and lots of stuff including updates to all the included mods.

Thanks for this!! Time to check it out

the upper (orange) line is the new xp curve. bottom (blue) one is the vanilla curve.

Just downloaded this really awesome sounding mod, will be starting a new hero for this one.
