Oh, I see. Wouldn’t say it’s the same, cuz I used the retreat skill template, but if you don’t think it enhances the experience, it’s your call. Personally, the movement skills were what defined the class for me.

I have two questions, bro! Do you intend to add Necromancer’s Blood Rush? It would complete Grim Scythe’s playstyle marvelously. And also, in game I can’t read what the Trag’Ouls Avatar set gives at the end - the description stops at “(100% chance on attack)”, I feel there’s a skill right there haha is there a way to check that?

Well, your message has two related things:

  1. Thanks for the headsup, but the Trag’Oul’s set skill will be replaced by another one anyway.
  2. The new Set Skill will be Blood Rush.

So, stay tuned next month.

Edit: the current set skill is “Blood Spikes”, work as Aegis of Menhir, but visually it’s spikes on the ground.

Today is the 5th anniversary of the mod!

  • Update to all Crusader’s ‘2h’ Weapons.
  • Several affixes improved and new ones added.
  • 5 New Items.
  • Buffed: Several skills, specially Avalanche, Justice, Hydras and Cluster Arrow.

  • Fixed the name of the Volcanic Eruption’s proc skill: Dust Devils.
  • Fixed an issue where the Frost Skeletons from Fate’s Vow don’t attack enemies.

  • Cluster Arrow: Damage overall considerably increased.
  • Loaded for Bear: Burn damage scaling increased. Burn duration increased to 5 seconds.
  • Rain of Vengeance: Dark Cloud → Chance to confuse targets increased from 25% to 50%. Duration of the effect increased to 3 seconds.
  • Vengeance: Bonus to all damage increased at higher ranks. Damage absorption scaling from “Dark Heart” reduced at ultimate ranks.
  • Awareness: Cooldown increased by 5 seconds. Flat health regeneration increased.

  • Shield Bash: Cooldown reduced to 3.5 seconds. Damage overall increased.
  • Crumble: Added % bonus burn damage. Shield Cross - Damage overall increased.
  • Iron Skin: Reflective Skin - Physical retaliation reduced, however the scaling was increased to maintain the retaliation numbers gained at ultimate ranks.

  • Shattered Ground: Fire damage replaced with Burn damage. No longer reduces elemental resistances of enemies, now it reduces 4-25 of all enemy’s resistances.
  • Indestructible: Cooldown increased by 10 seconds. Health regenerated and bonus to all damage increased.
  • Fervor: Attack/Casting Speed increased by 2%. Added 4-20% critical damage.
  • Slash: Now it’s a default weapon attack. Weapon damage increased at early ranks and reduced at higher ones. Fire damage reduced. New ultimate bonus ↓
    Crush → Adds 35% crit damage.
  • Slash’s modifier: Now it’s called “Carve” and grants a 165°degree arc and 5 additional targets to Slash. Burn damage slightly reduced at ultimate ranks. Added 12-100% burn damage. Crit damage removed.

MONK

  • Fists of Thunder: Lightning damage increased.
  • Bounding Light: Moved to tier 3. Added electrocute damage over 2 seconds. Base damage considerably increased. Weapon damage slightly reduced at higher ranks. Max number of targets hit increased from 5 to 7 by rank 12.
  • Thunderclap: Moved to tier 6.
  • Mythic Rythym: Damage bonuses reduced. Added Eletrocute damage over 3 seconds.
  • Dashing Strike: Electrocute damage scaling increased at ultimate ranks.
  • Blinding Speed: Internal Trauma damage scaling increased at ultimate ranks.
  • Exploding Palm: Now the explosion causes Cold and Lightning damage. Damage scaling increased at ultimate ranks.
    The Flesh is Weak → Now it reduces all resistances of enemies by 25 for 5 seconds and the effect are also applied by the explosions.
  • Crippling Wave: Weapon damage and chance to proc were slightly increased. Base damage increased and its scaling considerably increased at ultimate ranks.
  • Mangle: Burn damage increased.
  • Tsunami: Freeze duration reduced from 2.0 to 1.5 second.

  • Inner Storm: Electrocute damage increased.

    Mantra of Conviction: It’s no longer exclusive. Physical resistance reduction removed. Added enemy’s defensive ability reduction. Elemental resistance reduction reduced from 4-40% to 3-30%.

WIZARD

  • Mirror Image:
    → Duration increased from 12 to 15 seconds.
    → Cooldown increased from 10 to 12.
    → Energy cost considerably increased.
    → Increased the damage of Magic Missile and Frost Nova.
    → Frost Nova’s cooldown increased from 3 to 5.
  • Electrocute: Now it has the weapon damage from Chain Lightning and the scaling of it was increased.
  • Magic Missile: Damage reduced at higher ranks. Scaling increased at ultimate ranks to maintain the total damage you can get.
  • Conflagration: Energy cost reduced.
  • Glacial Spike: Radius increased from 2.0 to 2.5. Added 25/50/75% Frostburn damage with 100% increased duration. Chance to freeze reduced to 8/12/16% and freeze duration increased to 2.0 seconds.
  • Snow Blast: Frostburn damage considerably increased. Chance to freeze of Sleet Storm reduced by 5% by rank 12.
  • Black Ice: Frostburn damage from the Ice Patch increased.
  • Black Hole: Added 246 burn/electrocute/frostburn damage over 2 seconds.
  • Diamond Skin: Energy regenerated reduced. Cooldown increased by 2 seconds.
  • Arcane Orb: Energy cost considerably reduced. Crit damage granted by Obliteration increased from 25% to 50%.
  • Scorching Spark: Burn/Eletrocute damage scaling increased at ultimate ranks. Damage from Arcane Orbit reduced.
  • Frost Orb: Added 25 energy cost. Damage penalty reduced from 30% to 18%.
  • Storm Armor: Lightning Damage scaling increased at ultimate ranks. Radius scaling slightly reduced. Now it has 50-140 energy reserved, this change was applied to the other two Armors as well.
  • Molten Impact: Burn damage increased.
  • Slow Time: Cooldown increased from 16 to 24 seconds. Duration increased from 6 to 10.
  • Spectral Blade: Elemental damage reduced. Elemental DoTs scaling increased. Flame Blades - Fire Retaliation and Retaliation Added to Attack were reduced.
  • Fire Hydra: Fire/Burn damage considerably increased.
  • Frost/Lightning Hydra: Cold/Lightning damage increased.
  • Wave of Force: Weapon damage scaling increased at ultimate ranks. Elemental damage scaling increased at higher ranks, even more at ultimate ranks.
  • Arcane Attunement: DoTs scaling slightly increased at higher ranks.
  • Impactful Wave: Added 30% Weapon Damage.

NECROMANCER

  • Bone Spear: Vitality damage replaced with Acid damage. Now the base skill has the fx effect from Blighted Marrow.
  • Rigor Mortis: New Bone Spear’s modifier replacing Shatter. Adds vitality and vitality decay damage, and reduces the attack speed of enemies by 12-30%.
  • Bone Spikes: Pierce damage reduced.
  • Frost Spikes: Moved to tier 4. Vitality damage increased. Frostburn damage scaling increased at ultimate ranks.
  • Serration: Pierce damage bonus removed. Added bonuses to Poison/Decay/Frostburn damage.
  • Death Nova: Energy cost scaling increased. Slow to enemy’s attack speed reduced from 35 to 32 by rank 16.
  • Blight: Moved to tier 5.
  • Unstable Compound: New Death Nova’s transmuter. It reduces damage and removes cooldown.
  • Bone Spirit: Frostburn damage reduced. Added 100-250% Vitality/Cold/Frostburn damage.
  • Command Skeletons & Skeleton Archer: Energy cost considerably reduced.
  • Commander of the Dead: Health scaling increased.

WITCH DOCTOR:

  • Acid Cloud: Acid damage reduced.
  • Slow Burn: Poison damage bonus increased to 12-144%.
  • Acid Rain: Acid/Vitality damage bonuses increased to 12-144%. Damage of the Acid Rain increased.
  • Corpse Spiders: Now it summons 3 Spiders per cast. Summon limit scales up to 8 at regular ranks and up to 10 at ultimate ranks. Damage reduced.
  • Widowmaker → Spiders rush towards enemies, dealing vitality and poison damage, while reducing a portion of enemy’s health.
  • Medusa Spiders: Poison damage increased. Vitality Decay removed. Chance to petrify reduced.
  • Zombie Dogs: Cold damage replaced with Acid damage.
  • Rabid Dogs: Now it’s an arc attack that hits up to 3 enemies. Weapon damage now scales up to 76%. Added reduced target’s resistances by 4-25 for 5 seconds.
  • Burning Dogs: Fire retaliation increased at early ranks.
  • Horrify: Damage increased. Stun replaced with Confusion. Radius scaling reduced at ultimate ranks.
  • Soul Harvest: Damage overall increased.
  • Languish: Vitality Decay damage increased.
  • Siphon: Bonuses to Cold and Vitality damage increased from 10-98% to 100-250%. Added 100=250% bonus damage to Vitality Decay as well.
    Vengeful Spirit → Damage reduced and summon limit decreased to 6 by rank 12. However, now spirits have 100% chance of being summoned by Soul Harvest.
  • Haunt: Resentful Spirit → Chance to disrupt target’s skills reduced to 20% as it was supposed to be.
  • Draining Spirit: Vitality decay damage reduced. % Bonus Cold damage increased from 10-98% to 12-144%.
  • Firebomb: Burn damage increased by 100%, Burn duration reduced to 2 seconds. Number of fragments increased from 3 to 4.
  • Pyrogeist: % Bonuses to Fire/Burn damage reduced. Added 50% duration to Burn damage.
  • Spirit Barrage: Cold damage reduced at regular ranks, but increased at ultimate ranks. Added 4-25% weapon damage.
  • Phantasm: Cold/Vitality damage reduced at regular ranks.
  • Spirit Walk: Cooldown increased at early ranks. Movement Speed reduced.
  • Grasp of the Dead: Acid damage slightly increased.
  • Desperate Grasp: Poison damage considerably increased. Duration reduced to 2 seconds.
  • Spiritual Attunement: Added 3-12% Casting Speed.
  • Firewall: Fire damage scaling increased at ultimate ranks. Burn damage increased.
  • Midnight Feast: Added 6-28 Acid damage.
  • Gargantuan: Added 36-390 poison damage over 3 seconds and 12% Pet Weapon Damage to Cleave. Poison damage from Big Stinker aura slightly increased.
    Restless Giant
    • Damage absorption reduced to 15-30%.
    • Bonus physical damage removed.
    • Added 5-20% Total Damage modified.
    • Cooldown increased from 45 to 50 seconds.
    • Duration reduced from 15 to 8 seconds.

Just the 3.8, extract it to the ‘mods’ folder and done.

A question to the elemental exposure of the Hydras: Is this really the second calculated resist reduction?

  • Fixed some issues with the new affixes.
  • Stormcrow Visage: Fixed the flight animation of the Stormcrow and improved its FX effect.
  • Valthek’s Rebuke: Fixed an issue where its mythical version didn’t have the ‘Mythical’ prefix.
  • Alacrity: Fixed an issue where the base skill required dual wielding, however only its transmuter is supposed to do that.

WITCH DOCTOR:

BARBARIAN:

  • Threatening Shout: -% Target’s Physical Resistance reduced by 5%.

CRUSADER:

  • Smite: Energy cost reduction from patch 3.7 to 3.8 is properly applied now.

First of all, thanks for the awesome mod!

Today, I found meself theorycrafting a whole build around a combination of Forcewave with the Tremor transmutor and Crusader’s Heavenly Strength skill.
I was just about done with the build when I realised that the crusader variants of the 2H weapons have a 1H weapon tag.

Does this mean that all skills/devotions/… requiring a 2H weapon won’t work when that weapon has been transformed into the Crusader variant?
Or did you include a work around behind the screens to get these skills/devotions/… working with these weapons?

If not, is this something that would be possible to make?
Or are you bound by the limitations of the base game?

There’s a way to modify Devotion skills afaik, so I could add a modifier to the Crusader weapons which makes the Devotions that require 2handers to work with 1handers. But… items are limited to have only 3 modifiers, so mythical ones that already have modifiers wouldn’t be changed. So basically, yes, limitations of the base game.

Actually, i play a crusader.
Lvl 100, smite oriented.
Very enjoyable, fun, explosive gameplay !

I equiped gloves on it, and there’s (maybe?) a problem with them.

Item ; Mythical Bracers of fury
Proc : fires of the heaven (15% proc on attack).
The proc itself inflicts a bunch of damage.
BUT, the proc cost mana (45) and with smite + 15% proc on attack, it ‘chainprocs’ (perma proc) AND drains 45 mana per proc (it depletes 2K mana in 3-5 seconds).
I guess that a small ICD could help ?
I also failed to find other items with mana cost on proc ?

All in all, the mod is fantastic and i can only applause.

PS : i don’t know if it is mod related, or only core Grimdawn related. But the game crash often when the last creature spawned by a totem dies (loot explosion = black screen).

I forgot to remove it from Bracers. Fires of Heaven is a granted skill from Fate of the Fell sword now, that’s why it costs mana. Thanks, gonna fix it.

I’m gonna check the issue with the loot explosion/black screen. Meanwhile, disable auto item tooltips and see if it still keeps crashing.

About totem loot-splosion > crash, i’ve noticed it happens especially when a recipe + a legendary item are droping at the same time (on totem lootsplosion). It may be unrelated, but i specify it, if it can help.
