Some changes on Demon Hunter, days before the release:

RoP for Rain of Vengeance: “Stampede” (very cool btw) aaaaaand… Dark Trick is definitely being removed. Wizard has the classic Teleport (which at some point you’ll be able to spam it with no cooldown or energy cost), so I think is unnecessary having other similar teleport like Dark Trick. It will be replaced by the classic skill ‘Smoke Screen’.

Need more mastery slots! How can I collect them all with only 30 slots!?

There is a template that allows for more than 30 mastery skills. We want more mastery slots. :smiley:

Didn’t know that, but only with Wizard I had this problem… it’s unusual to reach 34+ skills.

I had some concerns about Demon Hunter though - the damage types seem to be extremely spread out among too many different kinds?

We got fire, cold, vitality, chaos, physical, pierce, bleed and even poison. Even though variation is good - I think there’s a bit too many in this case, making it harder to compete with other masteries especially later on in terms of synergies and maxing damage.
Any chance you’ll be streamlining the damage types a little in a future patch?

You’re right. Next patch it will be improved. Hungering Shot has no acid or piercing damage anymore, it’s full vitality damage now with a radius attack dealing chaos dmg (usual combination: vit + chaos), and still got the bonus poison damage from its last modifier.

Shadow’s Bolt will always deal cold/frostburn dmg.

Elemental Strike, you know… the name explains it all, the dmg variation is inevitable.

It’s up to you to choose one of these LMB skills and make your build. :wink:

Also there are piercing/bleeding dmg from Rain of Vengeance and Fan of Knives. The variation is intended, but Hungering Shot was really messed up.

Definitely tomorrow. I have to create the skill granted by the Legendary Set for Witch Doctor. This is the only thing left, then I’ll finish the thread’s description with all the details about the new items and classes.

Probably I’ll forget to review some things, but possible bugs will be fixed on future minor updates.

No Barbarian. Barbarian and Soldier have a good number of similar skills. I think it’s not worth it.

The guy that made the Engineer mastery found a way to expand the mastery template to allow more then 30 skills.
