Crates attitude that Random crafting is equivalent of Gambling.
Okay then. That settles it.
Anyway, there is another bug. I am playing a Sorceress as main class, but have added a second class too. Now there is a bug on the title screen:
āLevel 12: Tag not found: tagSkillClassNameā
This is Grim Dawn āfeatureā. Happens will all modded games that have custom class names. The only way to fix it is to:
a) Load modded game and go back to the main menu
b) Add custom tags into your main game files
Got it. I did A), just start the mod new game and go back to the main menu. The proper name is there.
Am I missing something?
Currently a lv. 18 Sorceress/Necro, and Iāve spendt a few points into Glacial spike and Ice Blast, but I cannot pick either or the skills?
Appreciate all feedback, thank you:)
Thatās because those skills are modifiers to Ice Bolt (round skill icon).
@Ram Thank you, that was exactly the case!
On an other note, good freaking job on this mod, I am loving it:)
Thanks, weāre doing our best to make something worth playing. Btw, you started just in time as Act 4 is right around the corner.
Thatās awesome dude, really looking forward to it
Iāve got another question tho, where do I find the Horazonās Journal? I thought it was a book that was near/dropped by āThe Summonerā, I even went through all of Arcane Sanctuary without finding it :,D
Edit: And could you tell me how skills synergise of eachothers? I am currently aiming for a Frozen Orb build, now when I reached the amount of mastery needed, am I better off refunding all previous points and put as many into frozen orb as possible?
Thank you again!
Horazonās Journal always spawns with The Summoner (he spawns randomly in 1 of the 4 final rooms in Arcane Sanctuary). You might experience a bug where the portal to Canyon of the Magi does not spawn after completing Arcane Sanctuary quest. All you have to do is restart and try it again until it works. I tried to fix this bug again in 0.4.0 but it requires more testing before I can say for sure if Iāve managed to fix it.
Synergies as known from D2 are not present in RoT (yet). Usual approach is to max any of the early level offensive skills and once you obtain enough points for your desired high lvl skill then completely respec to it. Just keep in mind that you cannot refund points put into Mastery bar (that should be obvious if you are familiar with Grim Dawn).
Btw, I highly recommend joining my RoT discord channel as there is already a small community of āveteranā RoT players that can answer your questions when I am not around. Link on the first page.
Hello,
first of all
AMAZING mod thank you so much !!
i have just one question for the moment⦠i have in my stash the mercenary rogue token, but i donĀ“t understand how to summon herā¦
ty
sorry for ma bad englishā¦
Use it as any other component (i.e. right click on it and apply to your gear -> boots). After that you gain access to a new skills that will summon mercenary.
ty so much for your quick reponse !
ps :my boots was already enchanted ⦠it“s for that it doesn“t worked before
Just curious about mercs, They have to go into gear, is there a way to unslot them from said gear?
Use Forge located at blacksmith in each town.
Hi, first off thank you for this amazing mod really enjoying this with a friend. I have a bit of an issue however. When I first loaded up the game and ran the mod I got to play it just fine. I come back the next day try to load Grim Dawn and it wont start giving me a crash log to report.
If i remove the Reign of Terror folder from my mods folder Grim dawn runs fine. Is there any way to prevent this happening ? If I place the RoT mod back into mods folder Grim Dawn simply wont start giving me a crash report to send again (i say it wont start, it does load up then quickly shuts down).
Mods should not affect the base game at all as they are loaded after you start them from the main menu so this is the first time I hear about such issue.
What RoT and GD version do you have?
I downloaded the mod last night from the first page on this topic using the google drive links. I followed the three steps to install also I version 1.0.7.1
Is there any way to check whats going wrong on start up ? I can if possible post that information if available and needed.
A mod shouldnāt affect the standard game. It isnāt even loaded normally. That being said, there is a bug in Grim Dawn where if you load a mod, exit the mod, then switch to another mod or the standard game, pointers get messed up.
The solution is simple. Just make sure you completely exit the game before playing a different mod or the standard game.
If you are already doing this and still getting a crash, I would look for some edge case on your computer system as a whole. For instance, not enough ram, so virtual ram is being used, but you donāt have enough HD space for the virtual ram.
just a small update, I deleted the RoT mod from my mod folder and just reinstalled and extracted all the files again (no fresh download). Loaded it up and it seems to be working fine now. No problems loading the base game. I understand that the mod files should affect the base game loading up. I do actually have a lot of experience with mods from many games along with about 1000 hours in GD without a single hick up or reinstall until this issue.
It is completely boggling my mind as much as every one elseās. One thing we can take away from this is, the crash reports where sent in =P
