No need to start a new char after the upcoming update. Only if you wish to experience new leveling progression and overall balance changes made to enemies / classes.
We are pretty much done with 0.6.1 and all that’s left is to make few more test runs before we can release it later this week.
Are the pathing error they one where you go to cathedral and next to the chairs you get stuck? It’s an old error if it is and i would have though someone would have reported it already.I personally never used camera rotation and got till act 4 but as i don’t have much time i had to put my toon on hold
@ LightningYu
Sacred is a game you either love or either hate. There’s actually a diablo mod for sacred 2 as well. It’s not on the level as this mod as your limited to the original map.You can however get new mobs/bosses new items and all new classes that have some uniqueness in them.
So @Ram, I am just wondering if there is any Road Map (without any timeline) for what follows. I know balancing patch is next but I am curious about what comes after that.
The switch is in the Baal room (if you haven’t found it yet). Baal doesn’t have to be defeated to open the secret door.
No particular road map planned as I am no longer actively working on RoT development. Right now I am just helping @sonophilos (who took over development in my absence) to finish and polish 0.6.1 update because it seems that he won’t be able to continue working on the mod for much longer either.
Generally speaking, balance phase currently has the highest priority so everything from overall leveling / difficulty curves, skills, items, drops to quests rewards. After that I would like to see new gear being added and if more people were working on the mod then adding custom content (Act 6) is something I planned to make but started learning game dev instead as that’s something I decided to do for a living.
Obviously you can’t work on the mod forever. (Hopefully more people decide to pick up the reigns. Super looking forward to more diablo 2 items and potential removal of guns.)
Congratulations on your pursuit to game development. Hope it’s prosperous for you!
i dont know if i should be happy or sad of you leaving the mod tbh:/
but i guess ill take the correct option of being happy cause you do what you finally want
Wish I could but there are just too many restrictions in the engine GD uses so it is better for everybody if I switch my focus on modern one that allows us to have a complete freedom in what can be achieved.
I am not leaving the mod per se. I am still active on RoT Discord / Forum and @Sonophilos keeps the mod updated in the meantime. I also do some work on the mod from time to time when it’s required (like I was for the past 3 days on 0.6.1 update). On top of that, I am open to teach GD modding to anyone interested in helping out with the development so no need to worry about the mod being abandoned or anything.
Haha yeah I made that mod. It has some good things to offer (Druid shapeshifting, all the various Necromancer corpse mechanics, unique player characters) but like you said it is not on the same level as Reign of Terror because there’s no mapmaking tools for Sacred 2. The devs had a very mod-hostile approach to the game. @Ram I’ve been following you since the beginning though I’ve barely played the mod yet. I’m in awe of what you’ve been able to create here and I’ve scarcely made it into Act 1. Looking forward to the new update so elites don’t slaughter me. Keep up the great work.
Well whatever bits of updates you can help with along with the rest of the modding community is always appreciated and welcomed. I really look forward to see what you come up with in the future, be it other modding projects for other games or your own game as a whole.
oh Flix are here.I didn’t mean to insult you btw.As i am busy with your mod before i play grim dawn again. The way you implemented some skills are amazing. It’s just sad that we can’t add maps to sacred. You will most prob appreciate this mod.Your mod i play super spawn for a more difficulty curve.I have not tried veteran on RoT yet.As Ram and team are busy balancing cause of the new grim dawn updates enemy hits harder
If you have Grim Dawn Forgotten Gods expansion then you need to install (0.2.0) -> 0.4.2 -> 0.6.0 -> 0.6.1.0.
Base vanilla GD and AoM expansion are no longer supported.
Yes, I have FG. Thanks. I thought about 0.4.2 but there 's a description (For Vanilla + AoM users only) which made me wonder whether I need it as being an FG user.
