impressive !
I can not wait:p
First milestone has been reached today.
After 6 months of dedicated work are all Act 1 maps completed together with many endgame (secret) areas.
Next step is going to be A1 questline and after that adding Runewords + some new endgame gear.
I am confident to say that the first release is coming sooner than I expected
Awesome!

Yeeeeeeeeees~ this is awesome :"D canât wait!
canât wait !
Great!
I canât wait!!!
Thanks for your work.
I wanted to ask what will happen to:
Lem - 75% Extra Gold From Monsters
Ist - 30% Better Chance of Getting Magic Items
Zod - Indestructible
Current version:
However, it may change depending on the feedback.
Item balance is something I plan to do in the final stages.
No restrictions on item types will allow up to +13 to all skills with Zod.
I anticipated the possibility of adding items after completing masteries in my mod.
And I have my concept runes: most runes are inserted into weapons, helms, torso armor, shields or off-hands and have all bonuses. Adapted runes can have a different set of objects in which they could be inserted.
If interested, I will talk about the Gems concept
My runes are currently restricted to these 4 item slots so thatâs why Zod gives +1 to all skills. And even if it didnât have the restriction, you most probably wouldnât drop 13x Zod in your whole lifetime (I used the same drop chances for runes as in D2) so no worries.
If you have some improved rune system in mind, feel free to share it.
Looking good
But Zodâs +1 to all skills looks worrisome
Might not be so broken in practice though
Nice!
Unfortunately:
- This map have a small scale. Rifts must be closer in fact. Now you start at Westmarch
- This is post-D2 map with Arreat Crater instead of Mountain Arreat.
This is the highest quality map I have found, let me know if you know about a better one.
Rift (waypoint) placement is due to the low res map so yeah⌠will stay this way in case I will not find anything better.
Also, how many people really know the exact placement of the D2 areas on this map? I doubt more than 5 out of all that will play the mod. (me personally do not know it for example )
And regarding the Arreat Mountain: I already redrew some parts of the map and plan to continue doing so. Therefore you can bet there will be the mountain and not the crater.
very impressive! do you plan in doing other acts after exp releases? Id imagine that will make doing a3 much easier.
Thatâs pretty awesome, yo! Great job! If I remember correctly, I donât have it on hand and have no ideeea where itâs at, but I think the original Diablo II handbook had a map XD But, if all else fails. Shrink the map down and make it look like the waypoint menu. That might work.
I would like to remake whole D2:LoD and add some extra content on top of it. However doing everything myself takes alot of time so it wonât be anytime soon.
On the other hand, I am more efficient with the modding tools compared to the begginings when I was learning how stuff work.
(example: when I started, my average time was around 2 weeks per map, while now I am able to make the same map in 1-5 days (depending on the size / level of detail)
Plus Act 4 has only 6 areas so that one can be done in about 2 months.
And regarding A3, I am able to make it with the current TQ assets (as you can see in the Black Marsh vid) but of course, it never hurts to have more assets at my disposal.
Thanks for the tip, gonna look for that D2 handbook. But I also cannot afford to spend too much time on this feature currently since I have more important things to do (learning how to script⌠:furious:).
There is map from Diablo 2 manual:
I think there is no need to sign each riftgate, and you can position them closer as the last 3 riftgates of the 1st Act of the GD (especially from Outer Cloister to the Catacombs since they are located in the Monastery).
Also I took the biggest map, upscale it to 2560x2048 and redraw all text and town icons: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B1shZxAD3uJgMnZnakU3WGM0N2c
What youâre doing is crazy awesome!!
