Worldbosses are a step up in difficulty from the campaign bosses and act as a stepping stone towards ubers and the other endgame content. They’re still worthwhile to farm, as you already mentioned, they quite often drop good runes. They also have an increased chance for the higher number socketed bases. They still can drop mythical D2 set items, and most of the other uniques. GD uniques are no longer bad either as the GD classes have been buffed to be more equal to the RoT classes, so it might well be a good ugprade for you (especially in the pants/shoulder/medal department).
So I wanted to do shattered realms. I don’t Mazaan in the crucible area or w/e to talk to to give the Waystone of Destruction to. Am I missing something?
Yes, you are. Shattered Realms has been removed as of 0.7.0.0 patch to make room for Act6. Trial of the Ancients is what you can farm instead, but it’s the difficult endgame challenge, so unless you can reliably kill worldbosses/ubers, it’s hard. But you can always farm some reputation by clearing the easier 1-30 waves.
Ok ty so much. Also is there an easy way to farm cow level. I.e. get wirts leg and more tomes of town portal. Or am I running out of options when I run out of materials. And any idea on a way to get 4 socketed Orante armor. I’m 93 and have been farming a lot of cow level. I haven’t seen a single drop of it yet.
Wirts leg is a guarenteed drop from Wirt’s body, not much ‘farming’ to be done there.
Just kill monsters. Cow level is a good spot, worldbosses shoudl be good spots as well. Other options would be high density zones with high amount of chests/destructibles etc like Ancient Tunnels, Flayer Dungeon and Halls of Anguish (Nihlatak’s Temple)
Just wanted to repeat that the Shadow Master stops using one of her abilities after a while. It’s the Fire Wave trap. At least that’s the one I noticed.
Also the Creeper summon does not regenerate mana, despite having mana regen.
I noticed at some point my character fell behind in levels compared to enemies, and I wasn’t rushing through the content. Maybe you wanna take a look and see if experience gains need adjustment.
If I use Strafe on amazon, and it doesn’t say it’s a default ability, but I put points into Pierce, which adds main damage and allows stuff to have a chance to pierce through. It says “Can Activate on Default weapon attack”. Does this mean if Strafe does not have in the golden text “Counts as a default attack” that it wont work with it?
Shadow Master not casting traps is caused by leaving the area where an active trap is located as that will result in trap not despawning and thus SM won’t cast another one until you return back to the area and wait until the trap is despawned. Trap duration has been reduced for the next update so this should occur less often.
Poison Creeper mana regen has also been fixed for the next update.
Enemy level in the campaing has relatively low impact on the gameplay so you shouldn’t be bothered by it as long as you have no issues with beating the content. You would be surprised how imbalanced was enemy level in D2, the only difference is that you couldn’t see it in-game.
Correct, only Default Attack skills work with Pierce and Strafe is not a default attack. Strafe has however its own built-in chance of projectiles piercing to compensate.
Out of curiosity is there another update coming anytime soon? I wanted to do shattered realms with this stuff.
From what I understand, the game can’t function with both Shattered Realm AND Act VI, because there’s a game engine bug that prevents the theoretical infinite tile limit to instead be limited. And so, Shattered Realm had to be sacrificed in favor of the new act as well as the new endgame (I haven’t gotten to that content yet).
Trying to farm the M’avina set or whatever it’s called for my amazon. Is that a set pieces that only drop off of certain bosses? or is that a world set. And if bosses, is there any information on where I can find what drops what?
Shattered realm wont make its return to the mod.
Mythical d2 class sets drop only from world bosses on hell and ubers.

10char
I just finished Act VI with my Marauder char, which I stopped playing shortly before 0.7 got released.
I’m sitting now at 86/99 devotion points and I can’t see where the rest should be. I completed the following Act VI quests:
Anvil of Fury / Halls of the Blind / The Butcher / The Chamber of Bone / Diablo / Gharbad the Weak / Lachdanan / Archbishop Lazarus / The Curse of King Leoric / The Magic Rock / Black Mushroom / Turn of the tide / Ogden’s Sign / Warlord of Blood
While this may not be all of them, I’m pretty sure that I didn’t miss 13 more points in this act alone. Many quests gave a skill or attribute point instead of a devotion point.
How many devotion points should a char have at the end of Act V? Did you add some in the first 5 acts from 0.6.5.3 to 0.7.0.2 ?
If you complete all A1-A6 quests on Normal / NM / Hell then you’ll end up with 99 devotion points. Missing this many points would mean that you haven’t completed some of the quests in previous acts because 0.7+ update added 18 devotion points to A6. The remaining 81 points are obtainable from A1-A5 and this number hasn’t changed since 0.1 release.
When I count the devotion point rewards in your table, I get to 6, not 18.
I had 81 when I started the act, so that seems correct. But I only earned 5 more since then and I completed every single quest you listed, except “Blood Pedestal”. I just don’t see the 18 dev points, sorry.
6 devotion points (per difficulty) x 3 difficulties = 18
Oh my, I’m sorry…I didn’t remember to replay the earlier difficulties as well
Thanks for clearing it up!
I noticed when equipping the vampire epaulets I can no longer dual wield despite using a sword and dagger. I think the shoulders might be causing weapon block to no longer allow dual wielding.
Correct, It now works with any one-handed weapon or while a shield is equipped, but it for this to work it’s no longer set to “dual wield only” which also means it doesnt let you dual wield anymore. However, a single skill point in Dragon Claw and you should be able to dual wield again and still make use of it. Unfortunately no option to keep the dual wielding optional to make it apply.
