[Mod] Reign of Terror

Thanks for the report, will be fixed in the next update.

Unfortunately, Pierce passive doesn’t work with Guided Arrow as it doesn’t qualify as default ranged weapon attack.

Ohhhh! I see!

Thank you. I suppose the other damage synergies are a reason for use.

Completed normal and what can I say, I’m amazed with the work of this mod.

The design of some maps are trully awesome.

I’m planning to start from sratch and beat all three difficulties afer the v1.0 release.

Masterful. :slightly_smiling_face:

Question: since upgrading/downgrading gems are with no gold cost, can we have the same with runes?
Pretty please?

Hi folks,
I’m receiving the “tag not found” all over the place.
I have used the rainbow filter, however have removed this & still have the issue.
Is this common? OR, am I missing something?

Thanks.

Rune crafting cost might get adjusted but not removed completely. No gold cost for crafting gems is actually an overlook so thank you for the report.

Missing tags are usually caused by using other language packs in GD options (RoT supports only English by default). Another culprint can be incorrectly extracted mod files or uncompatible 3rd party tools. Some users have reported that Rainbow filter can result in missing RoT tags so disabling it should do the trick, unless you are having one of the mentioned issues on top of it.

Hi @Ram,

Thanks for the response.
Yes, prior to your response, I did find the rainbow filter & localization file (from Grimarillion) were causing the issue.

All good now.
Thanks.

That wasn’t the plan…!

LOL /10char

Personally I have found no reason to upgrade gems, except on rare occasion. The gems themselves are relatively weak and later are often used for upgrading runes. So I save the early gems (chipped/flawed/normal) for rune upgrades later, and then perfect gems are plentiful later on.

I more often downgrade gems so I can afford to upgrade a rune. I don’t get many low quality gems before they stop dropping for the most part.

Concerning rune upgrades: Rune upgrades are done on every character I have, but mostly it does little good and I still have to get a drop of the rune I want. The exception would be if I did alot of farming. It helps some, but not alot.

I had foolishly allocated 20 points into pierce when Multiple Shot has it’s own pierce. I guess I don’t understand default weapon mechanics or why a left click skill WOULDN’T be a default attack. I believe I do understand on the skills that state they have faster attacks with casting speed instead of attack speed.

It appears that magic arrow and the fire/cold arrow skills are the only default weapon attacks that would work with pierce unless I am missing a spear/javelin skill that throws instead of fights melee.

If that’s the case my Amazon will be alot tougher in 5 minutes.

The stats in this game are so plentiful I often don’t fully realize the mechanics of some skills until I’ve used them for quite some time!

It being an auto-attack has little to do with being able to bind it on LMB or not. But it’s also why the skill descriptions say if something is or isnt an default attack replacer.

Hello, I wanna provide some feedback, I recently started playing the mod again but on HC from scratch, got to Lvl 97 and beat ToA all the way easily and I think
the rewards from the chests are not very good " and I think the cap on waves should be much higher than 150, something like 200+ maybe?

Would also be nice to see more unique bosses not seen on the campaign as well as more interesting rewards/challenges.

Purely asking on the offchance (whilst I’m troubleshooting this) but GD (with this mod) has helped show the issue …

After the recent AMD driver update (which mentioned GD!) I’ve been having stuttering and getting horrendous coil whine from the card.

That whine is in turn causing an awful racket over the HDMI audio.
(passing that out to the AVR was one of the points of using HDMI audio, lol)

Is anyone else seeing stuttering / GPU buggery of late?

Found the Issue:

Radeon Enhanced Sync

Simple question: when can you access a respec option?

Thank you for your feedback. ToA will eventually see some changes along those lines, however it is currently difficult to tell when it’s going to happen.

Respec potions are obtained after completing the “Den of Evil” quest in Act 1, once per difficulty / character. So pretty much right at the beginning.

Ah so this doesnt have the regular way of respeccing in Grim Dawn.

You can respec your skill / devotion points anytime for free in each town at the “Tome of Wisdom” (book minimap icon), if that’s what you mean.

Found it, perfect. One final question then

For Socket Items, how are those treated by the in game loot filter? as Normal quality?

Socketed items are classified as “quest items” so loot filter doesn’t apply to them.

Awesome thank you!
