Thanks for the heads up. I have absolutely no problem with taking the donations down. However, with Blizzard you never know where you stand no matter the situation.

Rainbow Facets are in the same loottables as Runes and other compoments. The thing is that the’re extremely rare and start dropping after level 75.

Last one bug for now as finished Normal+, just some missing floor.

I guess that “???” mob is Goblin? Met one with blue tag on minimap but when damaged him with merc he poofed, not sure if killed him so fast but probably not because didnt drop anything, so tell me whats the deal with that guy? Do I need to kill him as fast as I can or?

And regarding your question:

Yep, that’s a goblin and after you hit him, you have aprox. 30 seconds to take him down otherwise he escapes through a portal.

If you kill him in time then you get cool gear + he has a chance to drop a Mysterious key which can open the portal to Secret Cow Level.

Drop chances for the key are following:

33% on Normal/Normal+ difficulty
66% on Nightmare difficulty
100% on Hell difficulty

No problem, will have eyes wide open when will start next difficulty later.

Thanks for clarifying Goblin, maybe next time. Tho Im sure Goblin didnt opened portal and didnt drop single thing, you think that problem is he spawned in Akt 2 (Sewers Level 3)?

how does the skills from Diablo work with the skills from grim dawn? in particular, skill like paladins Zeal or barbarian Concentrate- are they counted as “default attacks” and can proc Feral Hunger/ Whirling Death?

Edit: and what about those extra companions from Diablo, are they counted as pets?

EDit 2: does static field work? because it seems it damages enemies directly, without reducing their hp by 25% (the dmg is pretty far from 25%)

just got level 34 on my dual necro on nightmare and can say the mod feels awesome to play, the level layouts are very nice specially black marsh.

my toughts/suggestions
-Increase base movement speed, the levels take a bit to explore(specially when the caves are random) and the slow speed makes the first playthrough a bit tedious. I must admit I use cheat engine to increase the game speed to 1.3 so theres that.

-On low levels the enemy hero abilities do too much damage and can easily one shot.

-The low level runewords cost too much gold, 50k for stealth is hard to get for level 17 specially when you are covering holes in your gear with merchants.

-Socket items for early runewords are too scarce, maybe make them buyable or make a spot for socket farming like runes.

-the ??? goblins are a bit of a tease on normal/elite since you dont have the dps to kill them, maybe they are there to farm when you are on hell and cant kill them there?

so i chose the Sorceres atm. level 34, i wanted to try out Thunder storm, it doesn’t do anything no lightning no nothing, tried walking right up to a group of zombies and nothing.

And i noticed alot of enemy Heros don’t do anything when i approach to attack, some of them act normal but others just stand still and dont do anything, i can walk right up to them and just begin hitting them and they wont attack me.

sometimes i can attack zombie heroes that haven’t done their “crawling out of the ground” animation yet, if you see them from a distance they stand up normal and you can attack them, but when you walk up to them, they begin the animation of crawling out from the ground.

All D2 skills works similarly GD skills (At least if Ram don’t touch anything). the above-mentioned Zeal and Concentrate are default attacks with Savagery template.
Pet scaling and player scaling summons have appropriate descrition.
Damage dealt by Static field could be reduced by enemies resistances.

but as i understand, static field shouldnt deal direct dmg?

Alright so I’ve played through normal and doing the next difficulty now, and I’ve found some things. Ghosts/wraiths hit mega hard, like, three times the damage of many of the rares I’ve met, and they pose a far bigger threat than most mobs I encounter, which is a little weird.

Scroll of Inifuss disappears when you right click it on Nightmare. (Either it was the difficulty level, or the fact that the scroll was located in my secondary bags)
Which means I don’t have the correct order for the Cairn Stones and now have to guess.

I know it’s not currently being worked on, but barbarian is entirely useless until maybe the much later levels, he just does not hit hard enough with any skill. (But I realize balancing is something left for much later in the game)

Phoenix Strike doesn’t have any prerequisites as it’s supposed to.

As others have mentioned, runewords are very expensive and practically impossible to get before they’re obsolete. Did manage to get Steel though and was very happy with it. (More swords!)

Lastly, for an alpha this is amazingly well done. I absolutely love the maps, the atmosphere you’ve given them, and their designs! Together with the audio, is like reliving Diablo 2 all over, and I absolutely love it! Only reason I still play Diablo 2 is because of the later acts, so once you’ve made them, I no longer have any reason to play D2 anymore! I love your dedication and your eye for detail, so I’m sold, thanks for making this! :smiley:

Please reduce “Den of Evil” packs number to 42… i remembered the old days… struggling to find that last ***** mob :furious::furious::furious: :frowning:

but yeah, well done… except, the magic seems kinda weak… maybe because i dont have ay magic penetration yet

Reduction to enemy health and also environmental damage deal percent of health damage, BUT thit damage can be calculated as obsolete value. That you see when attack enemy with static field.

  1. Yes, skills like zeal, concentrate count as default weapon attacks and therefore support default attack proc skills.
  2. D2 hirelings count as player scaled pets.
  3. Static field is set to 25% of the current hp but the effect may be lowered by resist or other hidden defense mechanism that I am not aware of

Runewords: prices will be decreased for lower level runewords

About Goblins: players seem to have tough time killing them so I will probably lower their defenses / hp so they are more fun

Movement speed cap was increased to 250% because there are some D2 items that give well above 30%. However if players feel like the base speed should be increased then it shall be done.

Just tested Thunderstorm and it works, not sure where the problem may be. It has fairly slow proc rate at low ranks so it may seem like it doesn’t work if you kill enemies faster than it procs.

Barb: yeah… I know he sux at early levels, definitely plan to balance him later
Wraiths: I agree that they hit too hard currently so their dmg will be lowered in the next update

Assassin skill “Claw Mastery” doesnt work with 2handed sword… its still a sword… should work or needs a clarification :smiley:

Edit: may i suggest the name for Paladin+Assassin > Crusader? since the name right now is “tag not found” :p:rolleyes:

now that i think of it… it fits paladin+barbarian more… :frowning:

Claw mastery doesn;t works with 2h-swords because there is no 2h katars in Diablo 2, so katars replaced with swords and daggers :stuck_out_tongue:

Paladin+Assassin have (technical) name: tagSkillClassName0911=Nephalem Blademaster just Ram didn’t include all tags changes to Aom adaptation.

2hand sword is still a sword, need clarification anyway, and Nephalem Blademaster is Paladin+Night Blade :stuck_out_tongue:
