I need more info to understand whatâs wrong with your version of the mod.
- What link of the base mod have you used to download the zip file?
- Have you also tried only the base version of the mod (0.1.1) without âHotfix 1â?
- Does everything else work properly? (act 1 NPCs, quests, etc.)
- Are you having these issues on all characters? (i.e. new char?)
Nobody else has reported such issues so I assume the problem is in the way of extracting the base mod files or hotfix.
nothing was working, then i reinstalled it without the hotfix and that worked⌠altho there are bugs and stuff stillâŚ
most notably the underground gave in the Cold Plains, which you already know about (exit on top of the ârockâ).
next issue is the rogue you get, as a summons?!.., if you talk to Akashya again you will continue to gain another Defensive Desert Mercenary âsignetâ, also i cannot use or equip the signet.
i dont know if some of this stuff was supposed to be fixed in the hotfix or not but the hotfix does not work for me i guess.

Nvida 770 (i dont remember the processing/memory)
3 HDD 160GB, 2TB, 3TB (my games are kept on the last 2 hard drives)
Intel i7 Core 2.44GHz or something
Win7 OS
game has all DLCâs
i had a replacer mod for the two of the core files for GD however that proved bad since i tried this mod ontop of that one with checkerboard results, and nothing was working, reset files tried again not a single NPC on the map anywhere and there was no portal or connecting points for dungeons etcâŚ
so now you know that any âmodâ that overwrites or changes core GD files will screw up your mod.
also, it caused the entire class selection to screw up.
thats all i can think of at the moment, my brain is fried from staying up overnight playing this mod, there are some things that are annoying but easily ignored in favor of the rest of the gameâŚ
price balancing for selling things to shops, not activating shop via the shop-owner, quests that are slightly screwy (only the 1 so far, not very far into the ACT1, just finished off blood raven), the cave exit issue (fortunately not gamebreaking and easily bypassed)âŚ
i know your probably busy with a ton of stuff for the mod, i would like to request boobytraps and stuff (if possible) be added as well as crucified rogue bodies lootable (some start flaming when looted) dead body variety.
this is one hell of a mod

The mod supports clean GD AoM version only so using modified game files may result in what you are experiencing.
This is something I cannot fix.
And yes, bugs you are referring to were fixed in the hotfix 1.
If you really want to enjoy the latest version of the mod then I advise to make a backup of your GD install folder and after that verify integrity of game files on steam (not sure whatâs the equivalent for gog version of the game).
Mercenary from A1 or A2 needs to be applied to any type of boots, then its available as skill to choose, item description already should give you that idea: Component.
i did try to right click and apply but nothing came up to work, ill see about replacing addon for the boot armorâŚ
i might retry the hotfix again, maybe i only got a partial download last time, see if i can get that to work with overwriting mod files.
i guess the game does not support hiring mercenaries/hirelings in a similar way to D2?!..
Well⌠I am not saying itâs impossible to replicate D2-like merc system but due to a limited amount of time I can afford to spend on every little feature like this⌠I had to make the merc system easy and quick to implement so I decided to use components as the source.
I want to rework merc system later but not before more important content is done.
So Iâm guessing AoM is now required to run this mod? Sorry if this was answered already.
The 2h staff is bugged. When I attempt to cast C.Necromancerâs Dim Vision, my character freezes as shown in the picture untill I change weapon. Also the characterâs movement is clunky and weird while holding it but not a problem though.
Not required but vanilla GD is not supported anymore resulting in missing tags/meshes/textures of AoM assets.
This will be fixed in the upcoming hotfix.
Well thatâs a bummer and with the absurd price of AoM guess Iâll just be uninstalling Grim Dawn. No need to pay more for one DLC than I did for the base game +Crucible
Anywho keep up the outstanding work your mod is amazing.
the AoM DLC is actually not bad, just get it when it goes on sale (not sure if i waited), about the price of the expansion for D2 when it came out
also, looking forward to more content RAM, im sure you are putting a lot of time into this mod already since you are basically rebuilding the D2 game itself.
still as close to D2 as possible without using a game engine and making a standalone version

You have to play âsoftcoreâ character if you want to be able to continue playing after characterâs death (donât tick âHardcoreâ when creating a new char).
Otherwise you can use a third-party tool like GD defiler to resurrect your dead HC character (however that is considered as cheating so itâs up to you).
Runes: I tried to use similar percentual drop chances as D2 but since the loottables are shared with components then the result might be lower rune drop chance compared to D2. I have increased the rune drop chance not long ago but that doesnât mean itâs in the right place.
I think you should greatly increase the drop change of runes because the lifetime of a mod will never be the same as original game. So that we could have a chance to craft high level runeword stuff.

I deal quite a bit less damage to the demon type monsters in Furnace of Pain after the patch, as if my racial bonuses were not applied. All other demons Iâve encountered seem fine.
