More active gameplay ideas

Maybe some sort of expeditions:

  • New City: Build a Wagon, equip with 15 Settlers, two cows, 20 wood, 30 Stone and so on (like in Settler 4 I think?).
  • New regions: Build a wagon, equip with 10 soldiers, get an explorer with the wagon
  • Explore with army or explorer: Changes the mood of the region which is explored (or random) so it needs to send an army or a friendly explorer
BTW: Why only have small raiders houses - why not “controlling a region”. So you have the chance to trade with them or ehm… kill them. But killing would be negative for your own settlers so the mood goes down.

Or (like in Settler 4 too)

  • Geologist (no open informations to mountains where to get the stuff), so you need to send him to the new mountains regions (created in the university) the better the geologist is (maybe tier 2 and 3) he can explore “normal” mines or then “infinity” mines.

New Settler types:

  • Teacher ? There is just ehm… a teacher in the school and hundreds of settlers doing the school yearly but… thats it then
  • Boat builder: Explore and cross lakes with a ferry style, builds fisherboats (boat builder is created in highschool)
  • Street Cleaner: Helps to clean the road and roadside, builds light at at the road with candles (lights extends daytime and productivity due to longer working hours)
  • Wagon builder: Builds bigger wagons with horses (the horses are already there) which can transport more goods for longer distances
  • Inventor: A crazy inventor with a lucky-or-unlucky roulette, if you have luck there is 1 point of knowledge, or none (in hard: less one)
  • Trader: Send traders to other regions and come back with goods
  • Priest: Group of priests that are for a region of houses and pray with them
  • Mailmen: Random things can happen to the settler, as example they get firewood when needed or an uncle died so they are sad and go to the bar and get drunk or something
  • Scientist: Explores for plants or animals (see building), explores plants for medicines
  • Food delivery: A wagon equipped with some food which trades food to money (way to earn a bit) but not very efficient

Buildings:

  • Fishmarket where fish can be sold near the houses and earn a bit more money (maybe it needs to be processed first)
  • Highschool: After the first school it goes to the next step, only a few succeed, then university which generates a bit of knowledge points and then the buildings now - can generate knowledge for medicine, generates various settlers.
  • Castles or parts of castles (like Anno?) where you can build your garden and housing where “you” live
  • Zoo: Explore and catch various animals on the map which are randomly found
  • Botanical garden: Same as soo but with special plants
  • Toolmaker: Creates the tools (different types of smiths: Weapons and Tools)
  • Distillery
  • Circus, “magicians”, fortune teller which visits the region
  • Fire station

Goods:

  • Salt (mined, needed by the bakery)
  • Ropes (needed for buildings like warehouse or foundry to lift goods, created with hemp)
  • Nails and screws (for Wagons and Boats, created in the toolmaker)
  • Sails (for small boats)
  • Whiskey, Gin or others

DLC:
Magic and dragons
Knights and kings
Traders

… That would improve the action during the gameplay a little bit I hope… depends a bit of course of the exact year of the gameplay
