I think it would be a good idea to create settlement parties where you build another wagon and go create another settlement elsewhere because the maps are so big but they are limited to that one spot where your main city is. I know this will be a huge dev thing as you would need another ui for displaying the new settlement resources and still be able to manage the other one.
