I’ve been running low on iron lately, and I’ve found that the fastest way by far is to go to any area, wreck all mobs, including trash, and pick up anything yellow or better. This is only the fastest way, however, if you spend 0 time sorting items, and just straight sell any yellows and greens you have, then stashing every blue or better.
Any guesses on where the densest mob-count would be? Or more specific, where I can farm any mob for yellows and greens on an AoE character, the fastest?
You think SR and Crucible though are better in that case? Is there a best range of levels to do for fastest trash loot => bits per time? Because if you are doing 50 waves of crucible, or 10 of SR or something, you only get the loot at the end, and while its a lot, it’s a lot of time to get
Maybe try an area with monsters that drop a lot of MI’s? I think the aetherial mages and Fleshwarped each have several. Or areas like Twin Falls that have a lot of easily accessible heroes since those always drop a nice chunk of change.
Granted, this isn’t something I think too much about, so I couldn’t tell you for certain.
I find Tomb of the Eldritch Sun very effective to farm moneys. There are many large chests, heroes, you have Brother Segarius and Korvaak’s chosen in general have a lot of MI.
Have you noticed, that SR chests drop lots of “~19k iron bit pile”? An average yellow item sells for ~700. And you have to spend your time picking it up and running to vendor very often. I do think farming SR yields large enough sum of iron bits alone, plus you can also get lots of endgame items.
For lightning AAR build, farming Sister Crimson (for sceptre) yields good income too.
Personally I think it’s much more profitable to never pick those Yellows up (in fact, just filter them out) and thus making room for more Greens+ and more iron.
Only answer I got so far was Tomb of the Eldritch Sun. It is effective, but not as effective as the Fort Ikon Armory. So if you want to make a quick buck without much trouble, clear the armory a few times.
Also don’t stash epic items, keep one of each and sell the rest, thats a good amount of iron as well.
