Imagine, you have planed your metal industry area very well, especially have built two nice warehouses for the later manufacturing. However, when the smelteries are running, you find that never do workers exploit the storage of the warehouses nearby. Then you will further find that the warehouses have been filled with nothing else but 4500 golds. And you are not able to move them out, unless the net cashflow of your village is negative. Though players should use filters to avoid this problem, there is supposed to be solution when mistake has been made. Or at least, golds should be unchecked as default in the warehouse filter and vaults should be set a higher priority for saving golds in the global inventory system.
For now, my own solution is to move every single coin to the trading center, and then return a part of the golds to the global inventory. Then the golds will be moved to the vault, rather than to the warehouses. Well, it is perhaps still based on the fact that I build the vault right next to my trading center.
I usually have my first warehouse at the place my tradinghub will be later on. In every other warehouse I uncheck gold from the start and everything else that doesn’t belong in there. As soon as my frist vault is build next to my trading post I uncheck the gold in the first warehouse and transfer my gold stock to the trading post. The following gold ressources end up in the vault only. I just recently started producing my own gold in the smeltery and the gold bars go directly to the vault as gold is unchecked in all my warehouses.
It would be nice to set a general filter for the archetypes of storages as to what should never go in there but as far as I know the devs are still working on the entire storage and distribution part of the game.
I am looking forward to the new system.
Yes! To be a good village manager, we should uncheck the gold before it stacks.
