WarCraft 2 or StarCraft 2 + HotS (Still haven’t played LotV, it’s sitting on my shelf collecting dust)
Overwatch might be on this list in a couple of years lol.
Diablo 1 is my all time favorite game but it just didn’t lend itself to repeated playing as the others did. By the time I got D1, WC2 was out, SC1 came out like a year later, then D2 and WC3 a couple of years after that, so I had my hands full.
I’m a Blizzard fanboy if you haven’t noticed lol. That’s why I was so offended by Diablo 3.
Really hard to measure, I played a LOT of console only games years ago, on old PSX
PC:
Lineage 2
League of Legends
Diablo 2+3
Warcraft 3 (Dota + custom maps)
Elder Scrolls 3,4,5
Warhammer Total War
PSX honorable mentions:
Diablo 1 (2 players in one screen)
Chrono Cross (Oh God I Love This Game)
Vagrant Story
Legend of Mana
Final Fantasy 7,8,9 (I guess I was Squaresoft fanboy)
Edit: And now for my own. I can’t comment just to be witty.
Grim Dawn: 759 hours
The Witcher 3: 625 hours
Total War Warhammer 1: 536 hours (and an additional 285 hours in TWWH 2)
Wasteland 2: 417 hours between OG and Director’s Cut
Divinity Original Sin 2: 198 hours
Compared to some of the others in this thread, mine feel like rookie numbers.
Edit edit: Titan Quest and The Witcher 2 would almost certainly make this list too if I actually knew just how many hours I poured into them. Unfortunately I don’t.
1 - Anarchy Online ~10000 hrs
2 - City of Heroes/Villains ~6000 hrs
3 - RF Online ~5000 hrs
4 - Skyrim (Oldrim & SE combined) ~1400 hrs
5 - Everquest 2 - 1071 hrs
6 - Grim Dawn - 1049 hrs
7 - No Man’s Sky - 601 hrs
NFSU2 and Knight Online might be in that list of around 2-3k hrs each, but most of my gamplay times were recorded when xFire was the main app, and I stopped using that at least 11 years ago.
