Notification when Traders are at the Trading Post

[SUGGESTION] I would like to see a notification when Traders are at the Trading Post. I often miss them when I am somewhere else on the map.

I second this request, also showing how long the trader will stay for when clicking on the notification would be great.

The game does tell you but it’s not as a prominent notification. But when a trader is at the post the building actually gets an icon above it telling you the trader is in. I noticed that sometimes the icon does not appear, or appears later than when the trader arrives. It helps if you dont speed throug spring and summer when they visit because you’ll definitely miss it. I use x3 speed in winter since not much happens and then drop it down to x2 for spring summer and fall so i dont miss the traders coming through. Look for the icon above the trade post tho.

I actually like the uncertainty of when the trader will leave, they have their own itinerary they are trying to keep in their travels, it also creates a sense of urgency for me to have things already stocked in the post before they arrive, that way I don’t have to rush to fill it once they get in town.

I would love to have an audible signal that a trader had arrived (a bell perhaps would be great) when building or sorting out another problem on the other side of the map. Being able to zoom out further would be great too.

I know about the icon and when they arrive, but you can actually see when they will leave in the trading post. A notification would imo just take out the a bit tedious checking of the post if they have arrived and when they will leave, nothing more.

Can we please get this functionality as soon as possible please. Like who do we have to patreon around here to set the “Prioritized” check box on this one?

But while you’re at it, please consider this request to apply to all buildings and their status types and consider the game tab where this output is focused and that box can “always be on top”. And filtered.

@shaster, I agree you should have to opt into this functionality. No disagreement. However, the ability should be there no question and you and I or others should be able to turn it off - for the same level of awareness and minimal UI-ness. I would argue that it could even be off by default entirely. But please for the love of all that is holy allow it to be turned on through game functionality.

yeh this is critical… i miss so many traders without a decent “ding” notification.

I second that there definitely needs to be some sort of audible notification on the left hand side of the screen where the other notifications are

Agreed there needs to be some type of notification but id make it more immersive, like you can hear the worker at the trade post call out “Trader has arrived”. Gets harder to hear the further you’re away from the building.
