Notifications ideas

  • Make notifications smaller and already opened (with the magnifier ready to click), sometimes we receive several notifications at once and when we try to select one to check, ends up scrolling down and we click on other event.
    -notification of building ready.
-notification of upgrade ready - would be nice to manage immediately ready buildings and upgrades once they’re done instead of stumble on it while doing other things.
-forager idle notification - is not bad enough that we have to micromanage the foragers, and have to check them from time to time see if they’re not slacking, in just a pain on the b**

Also, not related to notifications but would be a huge QOL improvement if instead of a circle, any npc area of management could be set same as farms, a square area that we draw.

I agree and consider these good ideas. Anyway, I have already written about it. Notification of redirection to a specific place immediately, without expanding the bar and clicking the magnifying glass.
Besides, it is worth playing about other sounds to. Information about death or an attack by a wild animal hurts my ears.

A notification for ANY idle labourer would also be so much helpful.
Sometimes you find that an entire production has stopped working because of lacking of supplies and you could send them to another position without wasting time.

Having so many notifications would seriously annoy me.
If the ones you ask for were implemented, I hope there will be the possibility to disable them.

any would be much, because for example you have farmers that will always be idle while crop grows.

Oh sorry. Let me make it clear…
Itd best if a production whose workers have stopped working generated a notification on screen. Just so you would know when a campsite has finished an area or a candlemaker dont have any wax to keep making candles.
So, notifications for productions, not for labourers.

You can see that in the inventory. No need a notification.

Some notifications would be very helpful: like when a labour camp has exhausted stone or logs in its operation radius.

However, I agree that if notifications are added, it would be helpful to also be able to change settings on these (e.g. turn off completely, reduce frequency etc.)

If think you don’t understand what a notification is. That I need to go to the candle maker manually and check whether they are out of stock or not is exactly why a notification is necessary: I should not have to do this. It is tedious, as opposed to being fun-and-engaging. The game should tell me relevant information; I should not have to search for it myself.

You can already turn off some or all notifications in the Interface part of Settings. I’ve had mine turned off for ages because having all that (mostly useless to me personally) info popping up onscreen all the time drives me nuts. Only one I’d really like that we don’t have is one to let me know a pit/mine has run out so I can quickly click on it and find it. Pits/mines are so scattered around the map that I lose track of where I built them and have to scroll around to find them to check they’re still producing.

But it’s your job!
Where would the fun be if the game told you what to do and when to do it?
