Hi there, one month ago we had the opportunity to play this beautiful game by our own.
I played several maps until now, serveral strategies, serveral dificulties. So I have a good visión on how is the game and maybe what could be added to improve it.

Goods : It’s very nice to have to manage the diversity we have, It’s very interesting to have various ways to get the same good (meat, wood, roots, green vegetables, fuur …), we can imagine something similar with stones (carry) and other kinds of berries like the bluberries you can move. Maybe more metals to find and why not mines colecting various goods. The salt could be added and could help to transform fresh meat and fishes to preserverd them. Willow will be interesting to be plant like nuts, maybe with diferents access levels for special trees. A reparation shop could be interesting to focuss on repair building and recycle goods from death people or invasors. Maybe put variety of animals to have others sources for eggs and others porks, sheeps or goat. Horses could be great too in diferents ways. Something very odd i feel in my first game was with the trolley driver, from where is coming the buffalo, maybe it could be great to have to breed them. Cats could be cool to chase rats, and dogs could be cool to help your people against wolfs and boars

Military : I mostly play towers, my first game (prepatch), i was always no money cause i just had soldiers and no guards. they die quickly, it’s very expensive and very hard to get their stuff before the new invasion if your are early or mid game. Late game with gold production, everything is easy… So walls and towers is very effective. It could be good to have the posibility to separate your soldiers in groups, the ones you want to fight and the ones you want to stay in the tower droping arrows. Or just have the posibility to send your forces in 2 seperate places.

Lakes: Something i don’t like when i build walls near a lake, your people and invasors are able to cross inside or outside between wall and lake, that’s awfull, imposible to chose a lake for strategic defense, you have to include o exclude it from your city walls. There is something very weard when you want to build near a lake, sometime you can, other time no, sometime people get stuck… That could be great having the posibility to interact more with lake… Boats, decks, acuatic plants…

Entertainment : it could be cool to have more posibilities, this is on the hardest parameters to maintain high in late game (+500 people). Something more than beer and theatre will be nice

Town hall : i don’t understand why you can’t move it as all others buildings (i saw i will be posible soon with cemeteries and why not doing the same with it). Reason is that in high dificulties, the start position is very important, but later, you can reorganize your city, making a proctected zone whith town hall and importants building. Could be good no to be stuck with your first building position.

Atractivity : it’s a nice parameter, maybe could be nice to allow more variety, it looks like we have to make the same patterns when we expand the housing zones. It could be nice to see the same rounds we have with other building to see zones included and if mixed with others improvements like differents kins of gardens or statues, showing it.

Building expansions : very nice to see your city grow with most of the buildings, it could be nice to have more evolutions, not every ages but at least to make buildings taller with more people working and more efficiency, at high level you need to build various time same building because your needs are very high (foundry, sawmill,… ) and other not (pottry). Some buildings from 1st age could receive nice improve with elder ages like smoker or colecter, maybe with several circles of accion o bigger circle if more people working in…

Invsations : I think all is question of AI, what are they destroying, what si their objective, this could change from one to another. Where they will try to breach. Sometimes they are very stupid, sometimes less, sometimes they just spend their time destroying small walls building and let dears enter all ways. It could be good to allow them to use arrows to attack buildings.

Move speed : roads and move speed is a nice parameter, we can imagine the health could havec impact here too. Seeing invasors hurt to death fleeing and runing seems odd, like boars or bears the same way. I know this helps your people saving their lives but life was hard in theses times.

Priorities and management : It’s interesting to manages priorities, when you have a big wall to build, it’s frutrating have to select one by one all to put each of it in priority, it could be add to the wall menu… Sometimes you want to manage priorities in priorities, could be interesting to see the list of pririties or have more than 2 ranks, like : to build, to build prior, to build now prior question of life or death. This is very interesting late game when you have tones of workers but tons of tasks too. More the city grows more dificult is to manage it, and that’s fine, meanwhile some automatizacion could be nice, like compost or cow.

Starting zone : I just love alpine start, lots of mines, means lots of gold means comercial way for what your need. You just need a good start. For me it’s easier than idelic valley, no matter how is your food production or the ground level. Some maps have tones of ressources, other not or without same position, that’s where the difficulty is, finally, where you decide to start.

Ground level : sometime you just want to change the level, no just making it horizontal, but put it higher or lower and that’s not easy to do, some functions to adapt you ground tool could be great especially with Alpine start. It could be nice to have te posibility to put some towers higher to maximise their effect and really control your little mountains to build the citadels of your dreams.
