So far I’m having a blast with this game. It’s challenging and satisfying. But one thing I’ve noticed is seasons progress WAY too fast in my opinion. I know you may say just play on 1x instead of 3x, but we all know most players prefer to play on the fastest time-speed they can. Therefore I think if you add an option to increase the duration of seasons, it should not be applied to the time-speed.
I would want this option because I think the winter time doesn’t last that long compared to the rest of the year where crops and grow, etc. (I know the seasons are pretty much split between four, but still) I know winter time on games like these some players don’t enjoy winter that much because you can’t grow crops, folks stay inside due to temperatures, etc., but winter is where the challenge is at. For the most part.
Or possibly, have locations that don’t have certain seasons, or shorter seasons, but the winter time is much longer. That could be an option. Such as a northern area, where it doesn’t have a long spring/summer, but winter is much longer. Or also the other way around, much less winters.
This is a survival-type of experience after all, having seasons that aren’t equally spread across four different times that pretty much equal within a years time-frame is much more challenging. But like I said, an option, so folks that don’t want that, can still get the experience they prefer.
