I like Paypal about as much as eating concrete, so what I am going to do is conduct a test for prepaid gift cards (visa) that can be purchased from post offices and supermarkets. If this works I shall let you know as these cards are seen online as temporary ācredit cardsā with a set limit and time to use. They range in amounts from $20 - $200 normally but other countries may well have higher limits.
Watch this space⦠
STOP PRESS:
I have just looked at Authorize.net support page for the use of gift cards and this is their repsonse to the question about the cards use through their systemā¦

Answer
Authorize.Net can process any payment card with a major card brandās logo as if it were a credit card. However, merchants accepting gift cards and other prepaid payment cards may experience an Address Verification Service (AVS) decline based on a default setting for their Authorize.Net Payment Gateway account.
AVS allows merchants to validate the customerās billing address before accepting a credit card transaction. However, for prepaid cards, the actual customerās billing address often will not be associated with the gift card, or will not exist on file at the issuing bank. With the default payment gateway AVS settings in place, this may result in a rejected transaction.
To allow for the smooth processing of prepaid cards, please take the following steps to turn off the appropriate default payment gateway setting:
1. Log into your Merchant Interface at https://account.authorize.net
2. Click Settings in the left side main menu.
3. Click Address Verification Service under the Security Settings header.
4. Click to deselect the checkbox labeled "Address Information for cardholder is unavailable (U)".
5. Click Submit.
Your AVS settings are now updated to allow the processing of prepaid card purchases with unavailable address information. For more information regarding AVS, please visit our online video tutorial at http://www.authorize.net/videos .

So it seems to me that the merchant settings are important for the acceptance of these cards. It will pay you to look into this I think.
As the problem seems to be linking the buyers card to their address I suggest that you obtain a prepaid gift card that requires registration using ones address. I believe this will link the card to you so the address of the card and your ordering of the game through authorize.net to match up.
