For those who brought the legendary edition which category on the kickstarter chart is it on?
The KS equivalent to the original Legendary Fan Editon is the 50$ Digital Collector’s Edition, which is again equivalent to the current Grim Dawn Patron Edition, to which all original Legendary Fan Editon were upgraded to. See [thread=4367]What are the equivalents to the Legendary, Epic and Normal Editions?[/thread] for details and further links.
I have just purchased a key and wondered how I will use it steam? I haven’t used a transaction like this before.
you can’t use it on steam, the game is in pre alpha, and won’t be available for steam for a long time, you bought a pre order, not a downloadable game yet, there will be an alpha near the end of the year / early next, but that is for helping to test the game
if you thought you were ordering the full game, but didn’t realise it was a pre order, and want a refund, you can contact the devs using PM,
but I hope that you do keep the key, especailly if you bought the $50 edition or above, as when alpha hits, you can help play test it, but it will be an alpha, not a complete game, so its your call
I wasn’t under the impression that I was buying the game now, I was just wondering how I would use the key with steam.
you can’t yet, but once the game is out then it will be out on steam, or there abouts, then you can add the game to your steam library, but like I said its not possible at this stage
This is why going the route of a website subscription would seem like a better option.
If the game becomes available on Steam you can redeem the key by activating it on Steam.
I’m sure the devs will give us plenty of helpful tips once it has been released
Would be great to have it on steam all organized and fully released and all. We won’t see it like that for a long time but it’s still something to look forward to
Can’t wait for alpha, beta, and finished games going to spend so many hours playing this
I seem to be on the slow boat when following kickstarter programs. i literally just saw the kickstarter page for the first time and i am quite curious to know if the “Enthusiasts Edition” is still available and if i could still make a donation to for it upgrade my Legendary Key?
I ordered the loyalist edition of the game on 2/7 and have sent in a couple support e-mails one on Sunday and one just now haven’t received my key e-mail yet is my problem any help would be appreciated.
I’ve yet to get the automated reply for the support e-mail i sent in today regarding an issue with getting my loyalist edition key. If you can send me a pm so I can send you my E-mail address to check and see if it was spam filtered id appreciate it.
Check your spam folder to see if it was moved there.
No It wasn’t moved there been keeping inbox empty except for incoming crate emails … only ones i’ve gotten from crate would be auto reply from support e-mail from sunday one i sent yesterday never came and no one ever replied to sundays e-mail
Makes me wonder if you entered your email address correctly.
it’s possible it wasnt entered right was around 1 am when i did it but pretty sure it was unless for some reason special chars like underscores throws system off.
finally got a reply with the key sent today so no longer need any assistance here.
Hi there!! I have to say, I’ve been following GD for a dang while now! Full of promise! And this is why I want to preorder a loyalist edition to show my support!
The thing that makes me anxious is that I wanna have this through steam… To get the community and such… So I was wondering if I buy the loyalist now, will i get the game through steam at the release???
Thx you all!!
If I buy from you directly, can I still play on Steam?
To release on Steam, we must first submit a demo of the game for approval. It is hard to imagine that Grim Dawn wouldn’t be approved but, of course, we can’t say it is guaranteed at this point. Once approved, we believe it will be possible to work out a deal for existing orders to be carried over to Steam as has been done with other indie developers such as Wolfire’s Overgrowth: http://blog.wolfire.com/2009/02/overgrowth-faq/#q10As I said though, we fully expect this will be the case but we obviously can’t guarantee it until it happens.
