Question regarding translation/localization FoA

Does anyone know what the status of the localizations will be for the release on Thursday?

The translation will be with the release. They have a company that does the translations and it’s always the last thing that is done.

Check the Steam page for the available translations.

I know Crate hired a company and that it’s listed on Steam. I thought they once said it wouldn’t be fully finished, down to every last detail, by the time of release, which is why I wanted to get more specific details.

In the live stream from a while ago they said some of the lore notes won’t be able to be translated in time, since they ended up writing MOAR lore than planned.

I don’t know if anything more happened after. I would assume not as they’re probably working their ass off making sure the game works properly on release.

Thanks, I think that’s what I’d heard about the lore notes. I wasn’t entirely sure.

That’s fine, I can always read the lore notes later, and I do understand quite a bit of English (not everything, but most of it, provided the spoken dialogue isn’t too fast; reading is much easier for me).

If it’s just the lore, since there’s such a huge amount of text, that’s perfectly okay. As long as the rest of the game works as expected, I’m good to go.

Thanks again.

Just wondering, which language localization translation do you need?

I didn’t say I needed a language translation!

I just mentioned in passing that I understand written English much better than, for example, when RektbyProtoss speaks in his streams. I don’t catch everything there because he talks way too fast.

It wasn’t about in-game language translation.

Uh, I meant what your native language is.
