I am in two minds about this suggestion given the knowledge tomes in the latest 1.0.0p5 drop, but I would like to see raider camps respawn in areas covered by the fog of war. Given raiders are a recurring threat having them make new camps would make sense, but in order to balance this the chance of knowledge tomes would need to be reduced to stop people exploiting this to farm tomes in the early game.
I have been thinking about the same thing - maybe if there isn’t a certain number of raider camps on the map, there is a chance of one spawning in an area covered by fog of war. This would make the map feel more alive, and it would also give some sort of reward to players who make sure to patrol the already explored parts of the map regularly.
Yep, I’ve been wanting this ever since the raider camps were introduced as a feature! Would make the map feel way more alive if there were re-spawning camps. And not just the raider camps, I think wolf dens and boar dens should re-spawn too. You could go even further and have Bear dens spawn on the map later in the game, which you could clear out to get a bunch of hides and other rewards from etc. Either way, the map could really use a ‘dynamic’ aspect to it, where things can change/re-spawn over time to keep things unpredictable.
It would be a nice addition to have respawned raiders camps. It should respawn on the map where you dont build yet and if you cleared the fog of war already from the whole map. Then diverent raider camps should respawn somewhere with a field of fog of war. So you dont know exactly where it is and how big. Lets say later in the game, the raiders camps get also bigger and more infantry. Example: more towers, wall around them. Different kinds of troops. So you need to be more tactical to wipe them out.
