So soldiers and guards are pretty pointless unless your being attacked so I had a thought, before raiders spawn in the set up a encampment and launch attacks from it, if you destroy it you get rewards from nearby settlements for stopping the raiders like map expansion or gold off your next purchase at traders or collect items the raiders have looted from unknown sources from the encampment, or plot twist you can support the raiders and they give you gold for encamping On The land you own and the armies that come in and demand tribute try to attack you for supporting them? Also a few other ideas, chicken coops, dogs for defending the settlement, cats for pest control aviarys for pillows like ducks or geese jewler for gold and iorn, when you replant forests you attract deer, boars and random food spawns also the fertility goes up so you can create meadows near the forests you planted for crops, Wells increase crop output due to irrigation etc love the game keep up the great work
