Rashalga the mad queen - OP or not? -how to beat

Another question

Bosses cant be stunned or what not, But the pretty great armor pants I have. It says chance to confuse target or terrify target, will the rashalga be confused or terrified ?.

Only Fumble and Impaired aim work on bosses (besides resistance reduction)

The rest - Freeze, Stun, Confuse, Petrify, Terrify won’t work on them

Nope and nope. You can debuff bosses and lower their resistances and damage, but you can’t inflict any status that would stop their movement (stun, freeze, petrify, entrap) or make them move in a way they would not do ordinarily (confuse, fear).

targos hammer

I see sometimes 1, 2, 3, sometimes up to 5 or 6.

How does that work ?.

They can be slowed however to some extent. Veil of shadow. Also stacks with % slow

Targo’s hammer has a change to appear every time your character blocks. They stay around you for a few seconds and have a low cooldown. The higher the block reate and block recovery, the more hammers you may have(like when you turn overguard on). Works especially in packs of monsters ot fast hitting bosses

Hammer works on Block chance. The more you block, the higher your block chance…the more will appear.

Yes, Carnage and Waistguard, now this looks lovely. Those pants and boots will be a pain to farm, though.

Ima just Hijack this thread:

What kind of Equipment do i use on a Vitality DoT (Bloody Pox for huge dps and Devouring Swarm for Heal, Wendigo Totem for Heal and Curse of Fraility (mainly to negate the Speedboost from Fevered Rage)? I feel kinda lost in all the aviable Options :x and do i use Augments mostly to cap out the res for certain dmg types depending on what i farm?

that would be my build without any items: http://www.grimtools.com/calc/lNkDQv2J (obviously planned for level 85 :stuck_out_tongue: Dunno if the Expansion will give us level 100 yet :stuck_out_tongue: )

Grim Dawn is most certainly very well thought out. People are giving you loads of advice to fix your derptastic build and you are choosing to ignore it.

If THIS retaliation warder (a class known for low DPS) can beat Rashalga on Ultimate Hardcore, then it’s pretty blatantly obvious that facetanking her is viable:

The problem is not Rashalga, or GD, the problem is PEBKAC. If you’re not willing to take advice on how to improve your character, you have no right to demand the devs “fix” an opponent that lots of people have beaten and you can’t.

Retaliation has nothing to do with sheet DPS since DPS calculation is done using damage a character can dish out. But since retaliation damage doesn’t fall under the classification of conventional damage, it is therefore excluded from DPS calculations

Relax jabroni, I took there advice. I changed some things, and working on gear mostly now. I know one reason my build didnt work, I had damage spread out to much. That made my damage weak for all three, I had fire, lightning and physical. I took away lightning and focused on fire and physical, now my damage is more centered. Which means I am doing more damage, per fire and physical.

With the old setup I had, I had a very very very hard time killing the sentinal in elite. You know the sentinal you fight when you find the three things, to open the last door. Talking about the hidden path.

With the changes I made, I went to the last place of the hidden path in ultimate 30mins or so ago. To fight the sentinal, it took me around 20mins to kill the sentinal. My health went down way way less, with the old build my health was going down very very fast, while fighting the sentinal in elite.

So this tells me tempest, forcewave and ring of steel were the problem. And not having enough damage reduction, and damage block.

And I don’t have targos hammer maxed, it was at level 8 when I killed the sentinal in ultimate 30mins or so ago

Glad things are starting to work out for you. And by the way, try not to double post, use the Edit button below.

Were can I farm for my build, I need gear that has physical and fire damage.

And gear that has physique and cunning

Try Crucible. It this is not to your liking, you can create your own farming routes through the game…like most people do.

That’s great. I would be more than happy to see you manage to improve your build enough to take down Rashalga and even TAFFotCoJB. It just seemed you were being so stubborn that you needed an eye opening, so I delivered it. No offense was intended, it was just a case of using a proverbial two by four to make the proverbial donkey really believe you mean it.

Good luck with Rashalga.

Clones are actually weaker than the nemeses. Clone fight is a resistance check and a matter of keeping your character moving at all times. Queen is a pure DPS check.

This one hit me. I always die at least once in clone fights because facetanking the first two clones with no issues gives me a false sense of security and suddenly 5 clones kill me in one shot. And I can’t seem to learn my lesson.

Of course you die, their numbers are the reason why they kill you but individually they’re easy to pick-off than the Green Bug

The most dangerous clone is actually the poison clone which can debuff your resist with a dreeg spine attack.

But yeah, it’s mostly a “pick your fight” battle. That and abuse the ranged clones dumb AI because they somehow think they can hit your through walls.

See, that’s your problem, don’t kill the first two clones at once, let one of them live as long as possible. If you accidentally killed too many lesser clones you will have to fight a bunch of Deadly, Corrupted and Tainted and they are the only ones who actually deal any damage except for the final one. The elemental clones can’t do shit, just let them live and focus on the big guys.
