Rashalga the mad queen - OP or not? -how to beat

If your build didn’t suck then you wouldn’t be here asking for help. Or complaining, really, as you don’t appear to want any help at all. When I lost my lvl 85 HC witchblade to Rashalga I didn’t come here to whine about it, I figured out something else to try and made a new character. Perhaps you would be better off with a bit more ingenuity and perseverance and a bit less “do stuff for me because I’m lazy” mentality.

He just seems to think that not being able to use Fire as a Blademaster means that the game limits build diversity. Well guess what? That’s the point! The game does not offer unlimited build possibilities. It offers “many” build possibilities. Like it or not, there are right and wrong choices. The goal is not “pick whatever you want and make a build your way”, but “combine a variety of traits that compliment each other into the most effective build possible”. This is the point the game.

I have a pierce/phys/bleed dw HC blademaster that does just fine. But I do also have a commando, just in case I get some +fire damage gear. And actually every other soldier combination, too. Just make a few different characters and experiment, and you’ll see how to take advantage of the strengths of different classes.

Is he/she/it finally gone now (the threadstarter) ? …what a relief!!

…waiting…waiting… … … . (he/she/it will be back) dont feed the troll
this one must be a real dozer now :stuck_out_tongue:

Did you just assume zim gender?

I can assume almost anything, considering his/her/its childlike demandig behaviour :D.

My guess, except from an adult troll or a hopeless adult case would be a 12 year old one.

kind regards Arkon

It’s funny to me how a lot of people seem to complain about Rashalga, but to me she has always been the easiest “super boss” in the game. Ok provided there are only 3 “super bosses” in the entire base game as far as I can remember. And there are only 2 extremely op bosses in the entire game (not counting in the xpac yet). Those are Avatar, which is just retarded and Loxmere, which is even more reatrded in his own right. Those are just cheap and super stupid.

Everything else in the game is currently very doable with some caution and a solid build. Ok Fabius is super cheap also, but that again hugely depends on your build. With some builds it’s even possible to semi-casually farm him on ultimate. It also depends on his weapon tho.

Rashalga isn’t a a super boss. Only John Bourbon and Mogdrogen are super bosses

Expac adds 4 super bosses and atleast one of them is stronger than Mogdrogen

Yes I though she’s a super boss along with Mogdrogen & Bourbon, I guess I was wrong. But at the end of the day doesn’t really matter.

Lol stronger than Mogdrogen, they must be smoking mad kush. I never understood what’s the point of having a boss that takes half an hour to kill, providing you even have a super specialized build to do it.

I’m not talking about some super op specialized theory crafted ideal world build, impossible MI’s having blablabla character or some extreme 4 people co-op parties with builds tailored just to kill him.

I want everything in the game be killable in less than 15 min time with a decent build that everyone with common sense can put together, utilizing some caution and kiting. At the end of the day Grim Dawn is not an MMO, it’s also mainly a single player oriented game with co-op support, not the other way around.

But that’s just my opinion tho.

If that’s true then I honestly don’t get the point, it’s not like people are farming Mogdrogen for fun at the moment . Even the most retarded Gladiator combo is a joke compared to that guy.
Talking about retarded, I think the only (non-super) retarded boss is the Iron Maiden. Loxmere, Mad Queen or Fabius can be countered by any build if you understand their mechanics, but a super spiky pure-physical bitch who follows you anywhere is another thing.

If we are talking about old Loxmere that could oneshot tanks with Shadow Strike then yeah, he was hard. The current one? It’s pretty damn weak.

Lol,

all bosses are or were weak when you compare them when they were in testing :rolleyes:

Here you go

And yeah Iron Maiden is the toughest nemesis. I mean even enraged Shar’Zul isn’t half as scary as her. I never have once managed to outrun her. I do remember Fluff or Drizzto once telling me it is possible to outrun her but for the world me I never figured out how

This again is funny because Iron Maiden is another one of those bosses that I never had much problems with, if we compare her with Fabius I honestly find him way harder, especially when he spawns with Notched Bone. If he spawns with that weapon he automatically becomes included in “retarded” category, but otherwise he’s very managable.

From what I’ve heard of Iron Maiden prior to first meeting her I was very disappointed, she’s too easy.

Uh, pretty sure he was like that for a little while in an official release. Then he was nerfed.

I never encountered the old lox but the old one killed tanks he was considered more devastating than Bone Gonzar

I know but there were several other bosses who could rek you in a single hit

Sorry to be a grammar nazi, but…It’s aurA. AurORA is the Roman goddess of dawn, or a place (many places), or a species of sponge, and many other things.

The thing is with the Mad Queen is that her vitality damage - and vitality decay - can one-shot you, yes. Your best bet is to boost resistance to that, and keep your distance. I killed her with a below 50 Blademaster using hit and run tactics (Shadow Strike) and bleeding/poison. Melee characters who have to stand their ground and tank, yeah, they will have it hard against her.

I read that thread some time ago, and sth I found yesterday reminded me of it: a green ring that converts pierce to fire.
But I guess that it’s no longer a question of interest for Gdante14CO

Besides, he wanted to do that with soldier, while in such a case demolitionist would be so much better. But soldier has some pierce to, no? Not sure now hmm, mostly bleeding and internal trauma I guess. But pierce from NB, tankiness from Soldier, maybe it’d work for campaign at least.
