Yes, this is exactly what is happening to me. BTW i don’t use any issues to my advantage, when i’m facing a boss enemy i spam all of my skills to make sure they activate as fast as possible.
I have a question which I think it has to do with the game mechanic’s I haven’t fully learned yet…
I’m playing a DW Demolitionist/Dream char
Psionic touch works on the third hit afaik (I forgot the skill description, posting from work)
does it mean both hands or just mh?
if only main hand, is it worth it to use it with a shield?
PT works only with main hand for the time being, not sure if its something I will change or not.
hey thanks, is it still worth to dual wield?
or should I go 2h?
Maybe I’ll just switch to fire strike and see how it turns out
loved the multiple targeting from PT though
Depends on how you want to play the build
1- You ca go for DW with guns but you will need to invest more in Demolitionist
Build:
50 Points in Demo
-Fire Strike +all modifiers
-Flame Touched+Modidifer
-Flash Bang +Modifier
-Canister Bob +M
-Grenado+M
20 Points in Dream
-Trance of Convalescence
-Premonition & Distortion Field
Sands OS+ M
Investing more in Dream is not worth it because the skills it provides are not good for dual guns maybe just if you want to boost the stats
2-DW swords is not suited for this combination because none of the two classes supports a char with 2 swords ,both of them when it comes to melee are 1 target classes(Phantom S and DS have cooldawn and handeling pack of mobe wll be difficult ).
If you decide to go for 2W Swords the next build for Dual handed can also work for DW (Trance of Convalescence instead of TOW if you want the dmg converted to health and the dmg absorption )
3-Dual Handed (DH is perfect for Dream&Demo combination)
50 Points in Dream
-Trance Of Wrath
-The 4 Modifiers (Premonition etc)
-Sans OS +Modifier
-Phantom S +Modifier
-Psionic T +Modifiers
-Distort Reality
20 Points in Demo
-Flame Touched +M
-Vindictie Flame +M
-Grenado (Optional)
-Canister Bomb(Optional)
In Demo if you want some modifiers for Grenado and CB you can invest more than 20 or if you want the stats but 20 is enaugh .
4-Weapon+Shield (Retaliation/Reflect +Bomber Build)
10 Points in Dream
-Trance of Empathy
-Premonition&Distortion Field
-Sands Os +M
50 Points in Demo
-FlameTouched +M
-Black Water C +M
-Vindictive Flame+M
-Flash Bang +M
-Canister B ,Grenado,Mortar Trap,Thermite Mine +M for all
For this build certain gear and constelation is required to bost the retaiation and reflect
5-Weapon+Shield (Melle Offensive)
50 Points in Deam
-Trance of Wrath
-Premonition and the rest M
-Sands OS+ M
-Psionic Touch +M
-Phantom S + M
-Distortion W+ M
20 Points in Demo
-Flame T +M
-Vindictive F +M
-Blak Water C +Demon Fire
-Grenado&CB(Optional)
Edit: All of the builds work in Ultimate and you can also go for Caster and Dual Handed Gun but i had more fun playing the above.
If you want to play Caster or DH Gun i can post the build for you to make an idea .
Thx man, I’ll go for sword and board
Not too fond of 2h weapons
With welcome
Each weapon class will have its advantages. Shields are defensive so that alone is its strength, 2h will make good use of the high wpn dmg, and dual wield can trigger pt more frequently due to higher base attack speed
Yeah I thought about DW fire strike because of the new changes, making explosive strike AoE…
I have 2 Crystallium blades, maybe it’s best to stick with dw ^^
Just have fun dont think too much ,creating your own build will give you more satisfaction even if you make some wrong choices.
wew I’ve made the right choice
9k+ dps increase with new patch, switched to fire strike DW
If you ever want to add TQ monsters, take a look at the mesh converter, should now support more models
Hey, can the Onslaught skill in Warfare trigger weapon pool skills like Markovians advantage´?
Yep. /10char
OKay thanks, that’s nice
That might need checking into. I don’t know if it’s because I’m getting your mod as part of the Grimarillion package and therefore some sort of interaction issue or if it’s baked into Grim Quest itself, but I’m not seeing the wolf limit raised to 3 until rank 18, not 17.
In GQ the limit is raised at lvl 18 and maybe Asylum made a mistake writing or his memory made a joke to him .
My mistake, I could have sworn it was at 17.
Well, I now have a couple more questions.
#1 Is Overgrowth intended to not be cast on pets? I’m just curious if this is working as intended as my nymph has cast it on me and humanoid NPCs just fine, but she doesn’t cast it on herself or my wolves. I can see where there might be some balance issues if she turns into a buff bot and ends up making pets nearly immortal, even if only for like the first half of the game, but at the same time the Familiar’s Mend Flesh skill will, if rarely, be cast on other pets.
#2 Is there any way to improve the nymph’s AI a smidge? I’ve noticed that she has a tendency to waste Nature’s Wrath by shooting into walls instead of moving/pathing at least into the doorway if not the actual room the mobs are in. Granted ranged NPC AI seems a bit wonky in this game, and also granted that you, and NPCs, actually can shoot through the occasional wall. I’m simply curious if being able to tighten up the AI, as it were, is something that can be done by modders or if it’s an engine limitation.
Original first question regarding Strength of the Pack redacted due to my completely forgetting that this game doesn’t auto-update pets. So used to not having to re-summon pets in Path of Exile after their gems gain levels or I swap in new support gems that I completely forgot that I’d need to re-summon the wolves for them to use Strength. >_<
-
it’s not broken, check again.
-
game engine issue pets don’t target pets for some reason, don’t think I can fix.
-
AI is just stupid, not sure I can do much about it. Ai should be the same as the Raven, if the nymph hits walls I bet the Raven does too
Ps. Are you using dail, grimarillion or what?
