[REL]Grim Quest

Found another bug

Hi ASYLUM101,

Can you combine your mod with the Stasher v5 mod ?

http://www.grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?p=393241

You can use mambas stash tool or play DAIL if you need stash options.

Spirit mastery: tag not found in skill Summon Outsider:

And also it says “Nly one Outsider”, lost “O”

Aside from the missing o, does anyone else have this bug using the newest version of gq or grimarillion? Thought I fixed it in 146b

Okay, I’m sorta slow and was not really looking for any GD mods to try yet, but WOW! Great work Asylum101.

Just want to check a few things before I install it. Will it work with both Steam and GOG versions of the game - do I need to install in two different folders or would just the one work for both versions? Does this come up under the Custom Game when wanting to play it? Will any items I want to keep be able to be stored in Grim Dawn Item Assistant stash program or does it only work with Mamba’s GD Stash?

Dont have this bug, only missing O :stuck_out_tongue:
PS. Playing Diviner… damn, Trance of Wrath can cast attack devotions. Thats insane, so much build possibilities, even Bull Rush can be used on that aura

it should work with both, as a mod is installed in the mods dir of the GD installation dir, you will need to install it twice however.

Does this come up under the Custom Game when wanting to play it?

yes

Will any items I want to keep be able to be stored in Grim Dawn Item Assistant stash program or does it only work with Mamba’s GD Stash?

no idea

My screenie was taken in GQ 146b.

I just checked Grimarillion (048). It doesn’t have this problem.

I guess I didn’t have 146b installed after all. I have it installed now and the tag not found error is no longer there. Apologies for the false alarm!

Hi medea, glad to see you giving this a shot, figured you would one day. I like think most TQ vets will enjoy Grim Quest.

Though fair warning - it is not completely balanced, nor is it a direct port from TQ. I made quite a few changes and additions to try and keep it on equal footing with GD masteries. This includes new skills, increased stat growth, higher damage, transmuters, etc. Anyway, looks like your questions were answered, so enjoy.

Hm, good to know! Kath was somewhat upset that my recent change to Ring of Fire prevents it from working with attack devotions, I can sympathize with that but it can become pretty powerful I think so… probably for the best. Guess this way it keeps ToW kinda unique in that regard.

Ok thanks for the update.

Yep, and what i noticed - that devotion proc chance from ToW depends on your damage ticks per second, for example, when i enable only ToW without doing any attacks or enabling damage auras - Mark of Wendigo procs out at really 15% chance as it says in description. But when i enable Deatchill Aura, Haunt debuff and Visions of Death - it almost proccing every second or even often) This happens to Bull Rush, i got it to 0.3 sec CD and it doing 3 cast per sec (0.2sec with Circle of Power) = chainsaw effect, haha

Okay … where exactly do I put the files? I made a Custom Maps folder in MyGames/Grim Dawn/ and extracted the files to there but no map when I enter the GOG game version. Deleted the CustomMaps folder in My Games, made one in ProgramFiles (x86)/GOGGalaxay/Games/Grim Dawn and extracted the files to that but no map. Tried having the files in both of the above and still no map.

Haven’t tried it with Steam as I try and keep that for playtesting only and frankly couldn’t find anywhere under Steam where it looked like the folder should go.

No-no, you need to create Mods folder inside your installed game, for example, i have steam version here C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grim Dawn
I created Mods inside this folder

Ah, thanks Soulstorm. Didn’t see that when looking in the GOG files. I thought it would be like TQ and have to go in a Custom Maps folder. It’s working now. Thanks again. Going to run my old trusty Conqueror again - used it as my pathfinder for TQ twice so I think it’ll do the same good job for this mod. Then can branch out with more toons after I get the feel for the mod and how it works.

You’re welcome  if you like melee’s, you definitely should try any melee based mastery + Dream’s Trance of Wrath

Well, I hadn’t played many RPG’s when I first tried TQIT so I went with what seemed the tankiest of classes and used Cassidy’s Conqueror’s guide to give me some idea of what I was doing! When I got a new PC and start TQIT again, I’d lost all my Vault collection so again turned to the Conqueror to lead the way. Both of them ended up with around 60+ deaths iirc, but I never really worry about that sort of thing.

Seems only fitting that another Conq should help me learn this mod for a totally different game. But yeah, I’m sure I’ll get around to Templar and Harbinger at some point. Defense is one of my favourite TQ masteries.

And the theme carried through with GD. When early access first came out my first toon was - yes, you guessed it - a Soldier.

Tag for a Defender not found.

Chicken, meet egg.

You have to load the mod to have the tags.
