[REL]Grim Quest

Yay! Time to get Druella the Cruel going to try out Rogue.

Big patch HYPE!

Downloaded from Mega and no changes. :frowning: Used the link on the first page for it and extracted the files to ProgramFiles (x86)/GogGalaxy/Games/Grim Dawn/mods/Grim Quest. Mega says is 147.7z version and 163.7mb.

I did the same, but instead - deleted Grim Quest old folder and copied new one - all working fine, i see new changes

Ah, I’ll try that then Soulstorm after I’ve backed my game files up.

Yes, that worked. Thanks Soulstorm.

As the tooltip says there are 3 rings; off the top of my head, the outer ring is 15% effective, the middle ring is like 30% effective, then the final, center ring is 55% effective. When an enemy is in the center ring, he is affected by all 3 rings, which gives 100% effectiveness. In the second ring, means he is affected by 2 rings, the outer and middle, means the aura is 45% effective.

The values on the tooltip are already scaled to the % effectiveness, but they only show you the effectiveness of each ring and not the total cumulative value of the stacked rings as I mentioned would be the case in the center.

I am not sure why this has to be done sometimes but yes, if it doesn’t work at first, do this.

seriously great work asylum! can’t believe I waited this long to get some colossus form injected directly into my grim dawn

fyi psionic touch procs every 4th hit, the tooltip says 3rd.

I completed the translation of the new version.
I feel that you have paid much attention to the skill text. It’s just like official text.

  1. typo
tagThrowingKnifeBDESC=Rather than wasting minimal energy throwing flashy knives softly to wittle enemies down, some rogues prefer to stop an enemy dead in their tracks and try to get the most out of each knife thrown. : whittle

  2. scale object
tagWildSpiritDESC=There is no description of the scale concerning the Kodama. Kodama scale with player or pet damage bonuses?

  3. duplicate explanation
tagSkillDescription205=A wisp ability that increases the lightning and cold damage of all nearby allies for a duration and provides protection from lightning and cold damage. This effect is also applied to nearby allies. : I suspect that this proviso are unnecessary because it’s written in the skill description.

  4. class name is confusing
    tagSkillClassName0423=Nightstalker
    tagSkillClassName0523=Night Stalker

@Matougi, thanks for noticing the work I put into updating tags.

  1. Ok, thanks.

  2. Not sure it is necessary to display this, the Kodama is invulnerable and it doesn’t have any attacks that deal damage. In any case, it is pet damage but good luck having the Kodama do anything more than buff/debuff.

  3. Yeah I added the ‘official’ text to many skills to try and make them more noob friendly. That case might be too much though, hah.

  4. Not sure who to blame for that, 1.4.7 got the most up to date tags from Grimarillion, so whoever made those tags…

Ah right. In that respect the Kodama (木霊, a spirit familiar to us very much!) is a very interesting pet.
I didn’t think of it until you said. Thanks for the reply, and for giving us the spirit.

Glad you guys enjoy the name as much as I did

Thanks, will be fixed in a future update.

Ouch! That (won’t) hurt.

That is TagNotFound

The grimquest_classNamesTags.txt in the TEXT_EN.zip that comes with GD mod is different from the text actually used in the game.
For example, which is correct, Lichguard (in game) or Licheguard (in zip)?

Details are taken from Grimarillion.

Ah, now I remember. I had a similar question before in #1016.
Thanks for your reply.

Hm, I thought I changed some of those. If it’s different in Grimarillion or DAIL, that’s another case but in GQ, my files are showing Licheguard/Licheblade, Sworn of Gaea had no change, must have missed that one somehow. Warfare/Earth gives Enchanter/Enchantress (or should), Shaman/Earth should be Vulcanist. I remember going through and fixing a few of them, but I must have made a few mistakes or forgot to save. shrug It’s a minor issue at worst, so I’m in no hurry to repair anything.

Enjoyable masteries, but I’m experiencing a few bugs with the Dream mastery.

Psionic Touch activates every fourth hit instead of every third hit

Ripple does not change anything about Distortion Wave.
