Does this mod work with the AoM expansion?

Installed it, made a new toon, seems to work with expansion with some exceptions:

-Cannot choose the inq/necro masteries from the expansion.
-spears do not show in hand when equipped.

I mean… it works, you just won’t have the new classes. As far as I know you can do all the content though. Dunno about the loot situation though.

As for spears, thanks for the report. Not sure what happened there, Ram was telling me they aren’t working for his mod either so… maybe a serious issue.

I’m lvl 30 now on the new toon and besides the things I have reported is that on the spectral shields there is an error regarding the effect on skills.
All the spectral shields I found had this issue. Link to pic below :

The xpac masteries aren’t working yet so you get errors with items that reference them.

Small update to fix a couple bugs I noticed.

Nature:

Thorn Sprite - Fabric Tear:
*Now working as intended. I rushed a fix in the last update to have the modifier work with pet damage but forgot to check if it worked - it didn’t. Now it does, enjoy not getting aggro’d when you summon sprites.

Dream:

Dreamer’s Flux:
*Now properly set as the base skill for it’s transmuters and they now properly require Dreamer’s Flux to become unlocked rather than Trance of Wrath (and incorrectly apply their stats to that).

Inquisitor:
*Now playable if you own the expansion! If you don’t… you’ll run into a nice black screen.

Necromancer:
*Now playable if you own the expansion! If you don’t… you’ll run into a nice black screen.

Known Issues:

*Something is wrong with spears! Bear with me while I work with other modders in trying to solve this!

Yay! No builds planned out yet, but I’m having so much fun with Inquisitor that I’ll certainly be trying that out in the mod. And I think Necromancer and Spirit should give you a very nice skeleton army. :slight_smile:

I just want to mention, as usual, report any bugs, I’m sure there are some weird issues with mods and the xpac still, but seeing as GQ is mostly barebones unlike some other mods, it should be minimal conflicts, I hope. I think I tested the skeletons from spirit and noticed some really weird (weirder than usual) shading issues, so… like I said, I’m sure there are bugs. Just report them and I’ll try to fix them if possible.

Also, from now on, 148 will probably only be updated for minor things like bugs, nothing included in 148 will be xpack-only content like the new flamethrower skills or drain skills I teased earlier, due to incompatibility issues. When I release the version of GQ with that content, the mod will probably see a name change to something like GQX.

I downloaded it from both sites, put it in my mods folder and I get the Spear test map. What do I do with the EN text rar in the archive? Did I install it wrong or did you upload the wrong version?

Couple of things Asylum101. Found a tag not found on this rifle and also Druid’s Staff doesn’t seem to be working with Ternion Attack. No amination , no sound and no damage either I don’t think - difficult to tell.

Also can’t seem to download from Mega at all - the screen is greyed out when it reaches the download page. Nexus won’t let me download unless I sign up.
Edit: Never mind, Mega doesn’t like IE10, works fine with Firefox.

Mod isn’t seeing the two new GD classes in the mastery selection window so can’t play with them. :cry:

In your grim quest folder, navigate to resources and delete the file named maps.arc

Well, initially I did stick it in the wrong folder (My Games one), but I think I cleared all of it out and I reinstalled it in both mod folders in Steam and GOG.

Another tag not found on an item. Not sure if this is the mod or in base game. If it’s in the main game let me know and I’ll report them in the Bug Reporting section.

Its because they are both Xpack skills. Its a known issue.

Yeah as kotli said. If the masteries aren’t found the items will have tag issues. I’ll look into it when I get home for lunch

Would this be causing a problem? Seem to have 2 Grim Quest folders in GOG and Steam.

Kotli tried extracting the Text_EN folder to resources, but no difference.

The text_en zip is only for translators. Unless you are planning on translating from English to whatever other language, you can ignore it.

As for the other grim quest folders… Uhhh. Was it like that from the download?.. if it was, damn I must have been tired yesterday lol

To me it looks like you extracted Grim Quest 1.4.8a-12-1-4-8a to an existing Grim Quest install. As that the only way I can see that you can get grim quest, resource and database folders inside a Grim Quest folder inside the mod folder.

Recommend deleting these mod installations and extracting the DL zip file elsewhere then copying the Grim dawn folder to the mod folders.

@ASYLUM101 the mod folder I downloaded is the same as always Grim Dawn zip with a Grim dawn folder inside which has database and resource folders in it.

Unfortunately can’t say Ayslum101. I didn’t look at it until I found it wasn’t showing the new masteries and then realised I’d put it in the wrong folder to start with, etc.

Kotli, I just extracted it to the mods/grim quest folder - what the installation did after that I don’t know. I do know that it asked me if I wanted it to replace old files with the new ones to which I said yes.

The other slightly odd thing - which may just be beause of how Mega works these days - is that the 1.4.6 and 1.4.7 versions of the mod could be saved; I have them in my downloads folder. 1.4.8 and 1.4.8a aren’t given that option in Mega, only to download and extract.

Worst case scenario is I backup my toons, uninstall the mod and reinstall it again.

You shouldn’t have to backup your characters, so long as you don’t load them without grim quest they should be fine. But, better safe than sorry I guess.
