[REL] Grimarillion

Was wondering if you guys are planning on doing a hot-fix for the devotion tree or just going to do a v.34? Asking since my character for some reason lost all Devotion and skill points, Do you think it would be safe to start a new character or just wait for an update?

EDIT: Nevermind the last part, think that was my fault, so just about the eta on the devotion tree is needed, thanks

Grimarillion is in a massive state of flux right now, so I cannot release anything until 1.0.0.7 goes live. I hope to have the devotions fixed for v034, as well as the autopickup bug, remove partial components, and updates of all modded dbrs to match the current versions found in 1007.

There are many changes going on at Crate that all have to somehow make its way back into the mods. This is not a trivial exercise.

As to the Stasher, yes, we wanted to include it, there was some compatibility issues and we decided to keep things simple, haha. In any case, I am waiting for another stash manipulation program to be released. Once you see what it does, I hope you agree that this is the right one to use. But for now, it is still under development, so, hush hush about it. :stuck_out_tongue:

Whoa functional extra stash space!!! Yes please. This alone would make a great improvement to quality of life.
Crate wish to encourage build diversity and since launch have released hundreds of items to promote this. Yet they have been woefully negligent or in complete denial about something a lot of the player base wants or needs.
Hoping you are able to introduce such a really cool addition to your mod.

I was wondering about Necrotic’s skill Malice. I feel like sometimes it retaliates ranged attacks back to attacking monster, for example those floating heads Overseers I think they are called. But now when I play Necrotic + Warfare combo it doesn’t do that as far as I can tell.

My hero is only at lvl ~15 and has 8/8 Malice. Does anyone have same kinda behaviour?

Retaliation only applies to melee attackers, unless you are using the Grim QOL mod.

Strange. I have never used that mod and I am fairly sure that I got that ā€œretalion beam bouncing back to ranged attackersā€ with this mod.

Oh, very nice, looking forward to see that)

Found this in the Roving Merchant Salvage Dealer next to the Slith Necklace quest guy.

First time I’ve seen that item price. Oh and I don’t have enough to purchase it.

This was on ultimate difficulty, v0.3.3

All the other items are fine for prices.

Edit:
Found another 2 whites with stupid price at Kerrick in Devils Crossing.

Another Assault Battle axe with exact same stats, and a

All the other items again looks fine.

Upon further inquiry, I must ask, you did not by chance modify any stats on your toon? Using a trainer or something?

My attributes bugged up going from 0.2.9z to 0.3.3 (I skipped in between). So I used GDTH v6.10 to correct that.

The fact you’re guessing that, means it’s a known bug isn’t it?

:frowning:

Edit Note: All my other characters were fine with their attributes, so who knows what else could be up with this guy.

Nope, I traced a ton of things down this morning and end up with some crazy formula that calculates item cost. It appears that if you get the cost to go super high (through changing some stat used in the calculation) you can overflow the integer and end up with a negative price. But I am still not sure that is the bug or not…it should affect more than just some rare item.

Hello, these are the comments about the new version (v0.3.3) written to our Wiki.

  1. Zenith is strong and has a sense of security as usual. But it is pleasant to also use Grim Quest, in order that the item of +skill may often drop. Moreover, the user-friendliness also of the skill of vanilla is good rather than original. With the combination of skill and an item, I can do various methods of pleasure and think that this is very interesting MOD.

  2. I’m glad if the item added newly as well as the original item can be used for a material. The new items are added too much, and I don’t obtain an original item, and do not obtain a material at all.

I had 400k when I tried to purchase it, and it was saying I didn’t have enough.

So I’m wondering if the display is a signed int, but internally it’s unsigned for the calculation?

So far it’s only been those 2 white items, green’s are getting up to about 50k buy price but that’s pretty normal for lvl 50+ gear.

Can you upload your character folder (Documents/Games/Grim Dawn/save/user/_[Charname]) as a .zip/.7z anywhere? Thanks.

Well, until we can repro this with a toon without GDTH, not sure if it is bug or not, we will keep looking at it though.

Thank you as always Matougi, but I do not understand #2 at all. Can you clarify? What are the new items and material that you are referring to?

Sorry, I wrote without checking exactly. I’m inquiring about this writing now. :undecided:

As you requested.

Edit:
Ok my level ~50 characters are all seeing it.

The exalted items my lvl 70s see are fine. It appears to be only those 2 whites in shops. My lvl 41 see’s it, and so does a 50 and 54 as well. Don’t remember if any of them have had GDTH applied to them or not.

So, quick question, is it a known issue that I can’t apply components to spears/staves? Downloaded 0.3.3, clean install, most other things seem to be working fine (I am running into spawns of like 4 copies of each unique enemy, but that seems to be a known issue with Grimmest).

I do not know exactly when I messed this up again, but looking through the old sources, they were set and now in my current sources they are not. It will be rectified again in the next release.

And in other news, Kathanious has an installer version up on Nexus for Grimarillion

And Asylum made this great gif to help people with the manual install process:
