i’m willing to play both 1 and 2 and 3 and 8 and 12 beams…
i don’t know why you keep missing the key distinction; i dont’ want every AAR to turn into multi beam “and that’s what you do if you add +1 beam to every AAR item that don’t have beam to get others from 2-3”…
it shouldn’t be hard to understand you don’t need to add beams to all items to fix your own issue, it can be fixed by adding adding or removing beams from current items that has beams ![]()
18 more people have this issue, so it’s not my issue alone.

What do you want to say here? To add beams or not to add? That is the question!
my dude… you can add another beam to some of the existing items that has +1 beam to remove the equal number… It’s literally been suggested before
To not have 2 beams does not necessitate to add+1 beam to other items that don’t currently have beam to force multi beam on every possible combo
Your suggestion was to add +1 beam to things that didn’t already have extra beam to fix 2 to 3… that’s the unncessary part
Finally it is something i can agree with you.
+2 beams on Albrecht’s commendation would solve my issues with aether AAR Clairvoyant but i don’t see how to help fire AAR to have three beams without adding +1 beam elsewhere.
Putting +2 beams on the helmet would make others have 4 beams or 5 beams.
Alternative solution:
Don’t make the “middle” the aiming point.
Let’s always have a central beam.
If you get an extra beam, it shows up to the right (or left) and doesn’t impact how the spell is aimed. You just “also shoot left now”
If you get another one (for a total of 3) it shows up to the opposite side.
If you get a 4th beam, if again shows up on one side, without disrupting where the others are for aiming purposes: the main beam always remains in the center.
sounds like something that was also suggested before ![]()
Yes: by me ![]()
almost like this topic existed already you say? ![]()
If that place wasn’t wiped clean at launch, I could have just copy-pasted what I wrote before ![]()
That would work for me.
i don’t even know what is technically possible to do or easier to do
- proposed technical changes;
- +2 beams on a single item;
- +1 beam to other items which don’t have same now.
Well, that one doesn’t fix the perceived problem: you will still run into situations where builds will have an even number of beams if they don’t make the “expected” build choices.
“off” topic
reminder what was “promised” to us
*still wouldn’t want every AAR getup to be like that tho ![]()
Fleshwarped Tome for Aether AAR and Mark of Ulzuin for fire AAR are the best in slot items due to conversions and they don’t conflict with other items in their respective slots for the respective damage types.
Yes, pulsing shard exists but seriously, do you really expect a proper endgame build running Aether AAR without converting elemental on the AAR and Disintegration to aether?
I mean… It will happen.
The issue that’s being brought up about the even number of beams does not only affect “proper endgame builds” but anyone playing the game, regardless of skill level or character progress.
A solution that curtails the problem at the source is better than one that assumes conventional choices will be made.
If this isn’t referred to as Albrecht’s Aether Rave, we riot.
Whatever the solution is to get rid of even number of beams, i am all for it.
If it is easier to make it +2 beams on items currently granting +1 beam, let’s do it.
If it is easier to add +1 beam to other items used in any case, let’s do it.
please, let’s just do something about even number of beams (without leaving it as is), please!
But i want anything to have that ingame, and we still don’t have it.
We were lied to. ![]()
