Request to add a feature allowing adjustment of livestock feed storage priority

In the current game settings, even when the town warehouse has sufficient hay and carrots, grain is still provided to livestock. However, if players wish to reserve grain for baking bread, pastries, or brewing beer, there is currently no better solution than clearing farmland to grow more grain. Therefore, I propose adding a feature to the livestock building menu that allows adjusting feed storage priorities. It would have the following characteristics:

  1. The livestock building menu would feature three buttons for adjusting feed storage priority, corresponding to hay, grain, and carrots. Design inspiration could be drawn from the priority gathering buttons in the Forager’s Hut.
  2. Workers would prioritize feeding livestock with the highest storage priority feed. If the town warehouse lacks this type of feed, they would provide the lowest priority feed, ensuring livestock do not starve whenever.
  3. If the same storage priority is set for all three feed types or none are set, workers will provide feed according to the game’s default settings.

Grow hay and put it in a storehouse near to your animal buildings, set it to accept only hay, then herders will prioritise that and ignore the veggies and grain.

Well, this seems to be the best solution available at the moment. In fact, to facilitate warehouse management and reduce rodent control costs, I typically build warehouses near city centers. Some players may need this new feature.

Yes, all mine except for the one for animal feed are in town.

I am a little curious about this response - Lime proposes a change that would allow the player more control of the economy of his settlement, and you then suggests a work-around that might accomplish the same thing. Are you trying to say that the game would not be better with the feature Lime suggests? Or that it would be unnecessary?

I just gave a suggestion that’s all.
