Hello,
I started a new game, there was no clay on the map preview before settling, I guessed I would find clay a little further but when It was time to build my trading post, I scouted the whole map, and no clay deposit was in sight.

Maybe it would be nice to have guaranteed resources, even on maps where one or more are scarce, I was planning to go around with the trading post but I needed clay for that.

Great game so far, excited for the upcoming content and patches

Maps will not have all resources on them. Closest you get to that is the Idyllic Valley map type under the Advanced Settings. That should have a bit of everything.

And you don’t need clay to build a trading post.
