Sapping winds - Morgoneth full set Cold/Vitality Ritualist

(Sorry, couldn’t find a pun with Ritualist that didn’t make me cringe… and I’m a dad)

Sometimes, these builds just write themselves.

I tried to make a Morgoneth set Cold/vitality build for this thread, and as I was making it, every piece of gear that said “Morgoneth” on it felt BiS. So I just went with it, down to even the ring. (And I also felt like it should stay that way for FashionDawn since it’s already a completely coherent set, I just hid the medal)

Pros:

  • You don’t have to do much. If I was making a thread for it, I would tag it as “Can-be-played-drunk” Just alternate between Scourge strike and Bone harvest, and keep Ill Omen up…
  • Very good crowd clearing
  • Lots of procs and lots of things damaging everything at once. Tentacles, rifts, wind devils, ice falling down…
  • -112 cold and -138 vitality RR

Cons:

  • Build lacks OA, and you can’t really compensate much by pumping cunning since you need over 1k physique for the armor and pants.
  • Overcaps are not great, and I had to pick some affixes just to make up for massive shortcomings, especially in Chaos and Pierce resist.
  • Single target damage is low, and resistant enemies are really long to bring down. Got Moosilauk in SR 75 and it took over a minute to kill.
  • Can’t facetank Grava
  • Not a SINGLE piece of gear can be crafted!

Damage looks like it’s skewed to vitality when you look at the active skills, but Wind devil is massively skewed towards cold, so it evens out.

Overall, it’s fine, and fun to play (If you like passive builds) and can clear all game content that matters except celestials, but not my favorite or strongest of builds I have with that playstyle.
