Very nice… Very nice… Any chance of some Fashion Dawn #Flair and a write-up? :grinning:

Chaos Thunderstorm - 2H Lightning Rod Chaos/Vitality/Decay Corn Juror

What is the connection between Rotgheist, Primal Strike, Doom Bolt, and Storm Totem? A hybrid Chaos/Vitality build.

…yeah be confused y’all.

Pros:

  • It summons red lightning bolts, everywhere :damage_chaos:
  • Chaos and Vitality build that somehow also a Decay build
  • -115% Vitality RR and -78% Chaos RR
  • 2K% damage, can reach 3K% with spirit and all proc active
  • Crits between 200k-300k, with proc can reach 400k and 600k on SR
  • 3.3K/2.8K OA/DA with at least 225 OA/DA shred for both

Cons:

  • ha ha healthbar go yoyoing :chart_with_upwards_trend: :chart_with_downwards_trend:
  • can’t take Rattosh due to devotion path :frowning:

So this build was made years ago(1.1.9.0), when I’m trying to find which weapon should work best with Rotgheist set. Wrath of Tenebris was chosen because I just get lost midway, and decide to mix chaos and vitality. The result is pretty good at that time, but I decide to left it as a meme.

Main skill is Primal Strike and Doom Bolt, with Storm Totem as supporting fire power against swarm. First version use Bloodlord sash for additional vitality to chaos conversion, but I change it to Stolen Dream belt and fixing the energy problem, the change drop the damage, but equalizing the damage. I also go with Rattosh devotion for more vitality RR, but decided to drop it and taking dying god instead, to buff both damage type, the trade is between -28% RR vs 200-500% damage for both damage type.

With lucky roll from the Rotgheist set, it is capable to do mix chaos and vitality on the totem by dropping the storm totem transmuter, and still maintaining the decay damage part, but it change the Fx to the original blue. I decided not to do that despite it will be an increase of damage. Overall the build is a pretty quick clearer of shard 32 despite the healthbar go yoyo against some enemies.

I add the save file to anyone interested to play the build

RIDE THE (RED) LIGHTNING!
red-lightning

You’re second build here is another certified DDD banger. I added it to the Build Index. Woooo!

I will admit it’s a bit corny great build overall.

Does the Torrent change color as well or is it still blue? I haven’t had the pleasure of using converted Primal Strike yet.

There is still blue lightning jumping from place to place, so torrent still got it’s blue color. I also notice if I don’t care about the lightning color, I will drop the Corrupted Storm, Consecrated Blade, and leave Brute Force at 1 point. Then, the 11 point will be spend on 1/0/10 Wind Devil/Maelstorm for more :zap:

The Storm Totem and Maelstorm will deal mixed chaos and vitality, but the electrocute still get converted 100% to decay damage.

Sapping winds - Morgoneth full set Cold/Vitality Ritualist

(Sorry, couldn’t find a pun with Ritualist that didn’t make me cringe… and I’m a dad)

Sometimes, these builds just write themselves.

I tried to make a Morgoneth set Cold/vitality build for this thread, and as I was making it, every piece of gear that said “Morgoneth” on it felt BiS. So I just went with it, down to even the ring. (And I also felt like it should stay that way for FashionDawn since it’s already a completely coherent set, I just hid the medal)

Pros:

  • You don’t have to do much. If I was making a thread for it, I would tag it as “Can-be-played-drunk” Just alternate between Scourge strike and Bone harvest, and keep Ill Omen up…
  • Very good crowd clearing
  • Lots of procs and lots of things damaging everything at once. Tentacles, rifts, wind devils, ice falling down…
  • -112 cold and -138 vitality RR

Cons:

  • Build lacks OA, and you can’t really compensate much by pumping cunning since you need over 1k physique for the armor and pants.
  • Overcaps are not great, and I had to pick some affixes just to make up for massive shortcomings, especially in Chaos and Pierce resist.
  • Single target damage is low, and resistant enemies are really long to bring down. Got Moosilauk in SR 75 and it took over a minute to kill.
  • Can’t facetank Grava
  • Not a SINGLE piece of gear can be crafted!

20241102142845_1

Damage looks like it’s skewed to vitality when you look at the active skills, but Wind devil is massively skewed towards cold, so it evens out.

Overall, it’s fine, and fun to play (If you like passive builds) and can clear all game content that matters except celestials, but not my favorite or strongest of builds I have with that playstyle.

I think you could make a decent Elemental/Bleed build using Cadence too.

I’ll work on that :slightly_smiling_face:

Vampire Knight DPS
(vs Dummy with all buffs active via DPYes)

Build Comment: I was inspired to make this build by @torrenz’s thread from earlier today, “Is there enough vit/bleed support?” as I had made a poor performing Vitality Blade Arc build years and years ago before this DDD Build thread was but a gleam in my eye. I knew right off the :bat: (pun intended ) I would use the Guardian of Death’s Gates with the Blood Knight and Wanton Carnage Sets to get a decent start. After that I fleshed out the rest of the build and was surprisingly able to get some very nice overcaps on several Soldier skills to pump up that damage! :muscle:

Hitting those overcaps was very, very exciting despite just being below max on Field Command and Squad Tactics. The kicker is that this build uses only Legendary and Epic items that can be farmed - no greens or MIs gives this build extra points in the creation coolness factor! :sunglasses:

Overall, this build is easy to play with tons of ADCtH and only a few active buttons. Damage is very respectable and the healing is off the charts. The only caveat is that there can sometimes be an energy issue with some enemies, but the Soul Shard should cover the Energy Drain and should get a fair amount of Energy back with the decent 40% Energy Absorption.

Fashion Dawn was very easy to slap together by starting with the Legion Warblade (a very basic and simple favorite of mine) with the Potent Ravager’s Harvest Augment to give it a slight Vitality :skull:/Bleeding :drop_of_blood: effect. After that, going no shoulders to get a sleek Vampire Knight look combined with the Visor and Chestguard from the Warborn Bastion Set really completed the Fashion. Simple, yet effective! Wooo!

interesting
im looking to keep playing warder and build something tankier since im on hc but ive taken some notes
lacerator girdle is great since i only had 2x lodestones for damage reduction, i dont need the blade arc levels on mark of consumption but it will be better until i can farm a good Archon’s Lagothakvoidbinfjghdfging
oleron’s wrath looks better than azraakas epoch especially with that completion bonus

Circle of unlife - Vitality/Poison Raddagan Cabalist

20241107190733_1

  • Full Raddagan set
  • Vampiric Bonewall for even more cooldown reduction on Sigil and more duration.
  • Ill Omen kinda clears mobs by itself, which is nice, and it slows, reduces damage and confuses…
  • but being able to stack 11 sigils is the main even here, and with the lifeleech it provides, you need to take some serious hits to die once it gets going (on a relatively still target)
  • -88% vitality and -89% Acid RR … not too bad for a DDD build

I think I would rather have this in Deceiver now that I’ve tried it, but Cabalist was much better on paper.

Tested the thing by facetanking Korvaak, not moving at all during the whole fight: I was never worried for even a second, so that’s a pass to me.

20241107190709_1

For flair, I decided to go along with what the Raddagan set looked like and came up with some sort of bog witch vibe!

Looks excellent here @DeputyChuck! Keep 'em coming along! :sunglasses:

Great #Flair going on as well. I think it’s pretty tough to find suitable shields for Acid/Vitality, right?

(I’ve been super busy this week - I’m hoping to find the time to post a build this weekend…)

Void Harbinger DPS + Cadence
(vs Dummy with all buffs active via DPYes)

Build Comment: I made this build a while ago before the recent Cadence buffs and have toyed with it here and there a bit. Despite the Weapon Damage being nice and chunky, there were some slight survival issues from this set having low armor which resulted in eating dirt when getting tossed around by some heavy hitters. I swapped Devotions to grab Wendigo’s Mark (attached to Wendigo Rush of course!) as well as trying to stack as much Armor and Health as I could around the map. With high rolls on the equipment, HP can go up to a nice 18-19k which is super comfy with the 22/12 Possession and it’s 25% Damage Absorption.

Overall this character is easy to control and isn’t too hectic. Keep attacking to keep leeching and there aren’t any issues. I use Touch of Chaos on my right-click once every 2 seconds on heavy hitters and Bosses to drop their resistances some as well as their Damage by 20%.

Touch of Chaos

It’s pretty handy!

#Flair is provided by focusing on the plentiful chains and Obsidian Chaos :damage_chaos: look of the Obsidian War Cleaver. Naturally that meant taking the Obsidian Grasp to match as well as the Benn’Jahr’s Pauldrons to complete that beautiful Obsidian Chaos :damage_chaos: fashion! Wearing Fleshwarped Platemail for the chest really brought out the chains and the touch of red to match the rest of the outfit. It’s the Void Unchained! Wooo!

  • -55% Vitality RR and -116% Fire RR

20241108190947_1

Blackwater cocktail is skewed to vitality, but Empyrion’s boys are all fire.
Not my best work, i’ll be honest, but I’ve always wanted to do something with BWC. This build should be played like a skater, and not facetanking things like I tend to do (Which is part of the reason I feel like the performance is nothing to write home about)
The damage is definitely there, but survivability depends a lot on kiting. Could probably be better with CD BWC instead of spam, as it goes better with kiting.

Visually, I settled on “Flaming rocks” as the theme. Since there is no chest armor that fits that bill, I went with what matched the miner’s helmet the best.

Blightlord is a tough set to use and I think you did pretty well here. I have a few myself and I think I will post the one I mentioned in the OP maybe in the coming week.

Excellent job on the #Flair there! It’s not easy doing that combo and making it look great. :+1:

Vulkan DPS
(vs Dummy with all buffs active via DPYes)

Build Comment: As requested, I have completed another Warhammer 40k Primarch Build. This build is made after Vulkan, Primarch of the Salamanders.

image

This character started out as a Commando using Shar’Zul’s Worldeater simply to try and capitalize on the built-in Physical :hammer:/Fire :damage_fire: Damage and the +2 to all skills to both classes. After including the Justicar Guard and Judicator’s Seals Sets, the build was well on it’s way! Tossing on a Shambler’s Heart and a Balthazar’s Crest helped to push up Temper to the max cap.

Flame Touched + Temper maxed

After getting that in line, I focused on pushing the character’s defenses as high as I could get them and I wanted to use Light of Empyrion for a Devotion as I have never made a build using it. The Devotion skill is perfect having a nice mix of Physical :hammer:/Fire :damage_fire: Damage as well as 24% Reduced target’s Damage. This meant I would not have to use the clunky War Cry for defense and could instead place those points into skills that provided more damage. The overall Devotion path was a bit tricky and I went through several iterations until I landed on the final one here.

Since I was extremely limited in my ADCtH options, I decided to focus on Health Regeneration instead. Menhir’s Bulwark was perfect with the Damage Absorption, Physical :hammer: Damage and the huge amount of Health Regen. That combined with Veterancy and Vindictive Flame help to keep Vulkan up with his regenerative abilities. Throw in Giant’s Blood when Blast Shield gets triggered and he can regen his way back up in no time. I added in Turtle Shell for an extra layer of protection and it certainly paid off. The funny thing was that I had not known about his regenerative nature and just went with it when fine-tuning the character. It worked out pretty well I must say!

To get the necessary #Flair I used the Markovian’s Bastion Set to try and match that stunning green scale and gold armor Vulkan wears. Unfortunately, my Venomfang character was using that and I try not to duplicate looks, so I changed Venomfang (for the better!) and uploaded a new picture for that post. To finish the look I used a Barthollem’s Warmaul and the Zealot’s Gauntlets for the gloves to give it a light touch of Gold. I think it came out just great! Wooo!

I don’t recall what other WH40K Primarchs I am supposed to make and I will have to ask my son and get working on it. Perhaps I can put together a God Emperor character as well! I’m thinking it would be a Physical :hammer:/Bleeding :drop_of_blood: Primal Strike Archon with that Golden Lightning effects and Golden Empyrion Bros. It might just work!

Vulkan standing over one of his fallen sons, ready to bring his down righteous wrath against the enemies of the Imperium!

Herald of the heavens - 2H Melee Lightning/Aether Savagery Ritualist

  • Veilkeeper set and Temporal Arcblade
  • Nearly 5K health regen/second and 24K health
  • 2200% Lightning, 2000% electrocute and 1750% Aether damage
  • -100% Lightning RR (+ 20% multiplicative from Viper) and 75% Aether RR
  • Over 80% extra crit damage
  • Simple gameplay with just the mouse (4 total active skills)
  • Lots of lightning raining from the sky

20241109145809_1

As a shaman and health regen enjoyer, I can’t believe I waited this long to give the Veilkeeper set a try. That probably has something to do with never really liking auto-attack builds… Nevertheless, this is a fun build honestly.

Gameplay is very simple: Movement rune to close gaps, cast Aether corruption wherever, go to town with Savagery. Apply Mark of torment as needed against big targets. That’s it.

I wish the set wasn’t a heavy armor one, so I could dedicate more stat points to Spirit, as I had to sink a sizeable amount into cunning to get my OA as high as needed (Considering that Upheaval is the main event, it needs to proc often enough.)

Tested first with a druid, and while damage and OA were MUCH higher, health was too low for a health regen build, and I was getting one-shot too often (gotta give regen time to do its thing). The extra AA procs from Necromancer help bridge the damage gap considerably, but my OA as a druid was around 4K, so Upheaval was proccing VERY often.

For looks, I wanted to try something different. I went with as much asymmetry as I could, using both shoulder and gloves, and an armor that also felt like it was arranged organically. Given the mass of the weapon, it feels like the character has a VERY dominant hand, and to me it looks good when using a 2-handed weapon. Wrathmourne looked a lot more reasonable than the Arcblade, but still gave off the heavenly/otherworldly vibes I wanted. The helmet is there because it looks great, but also because its color perfectly matches the scarf from the shoulder pads.

Not my build originally, based on this old gem:

but with different rings, and ditching Revenant for Solael blade. Because I really wanted full fire/cold hybrid, and to finally give those rings a spin. Still works… i mean, it’s a mageslayer build, that’s exactly how it works.

Spellblade extraordinaire. Ice meteors, fire meteors, blue flames, pink flames, green flames… criminally short on red flames though. Who said your assassinations shouldn’t be seen from several blocks away.
