This is a compendium where all builds are welcome, not just one type per class combo/damage combo. There’s so many different ways to change skills in this game especially when you’re splitting the damage into 2 types at the same time.
I’m going to add more damage types to the Build Index as they get added, so it’s not so cluttered right away.
Don’t forget to #GetYourFlairOn with some sweet Fashion Dawn.
I always wanted to make something out of Blade trap… that wasn’t Rimetongue. There are literally only 3 items with mods for it outside of that set, but one of them gives it a massive bleed damage boost. So I figured, why not ?
Turns out that Blade trap is enough to kill… basically anything that isn’t a nemesis or bigger on its own.
with help from Blade spirit for bigger targets (scarab shell, and blades of wrath)
Silvercore bolt also helps, and is a good proccer for Assassin’s mark with its multiple projectiles, which I really only need against bigger targets, word of pain carrying the rest of the RR with Rend.
Having 4.5K OA also helps, since both assassin’s mark and living shadows are crit-dependant.
Only thing I wish it could do better is converting vitality to pierce on Blade trap. There are only 5 items in the game that give that global conversion: Spite, Rancor, 2 conduits, and the murderer’s shoulder piece we’re wearing…
Solid looking build there @DeputyChuck with some very nice Flair to go with it!
Perhaps the Murderer’s Cowl should get some inherent Vitality to Piercing conversion like the shoulders?
Thanks!
mad_lee put both builds in the same post, so I linked it to both types. I could quote post each into the build index, but that might eat up more characters towards the limit in the end.
Good luck with that Aether/Chaos build! It might be rough until you can get the Twilight’s Veils.
The only thing with Aether/Chaos is the Fashion Dawn tends to be Christmas colors. I am saving mine to post around Christmas just for that reason!
I theorycrafted this bleed/physical Witch Hunter. More Bleed leaning so far, how could I improve this build, I’m a hack…? Would Targo’s mallet work better?
Skills-wise, focused on RoS, Blade Trap, ABB with a bit of WPS. Hardcore focused, so survivability built in. Tried to make the greens not too fanciful.
Overall, I would say to stick to 1-2 skills and try to lean into that. The Pit Master’s axe is a great start and it is Bleed-focused, so I would try to get a Bloodthirsty of Cruelty to push that Bleeding Damage higher. 1-handed Ring of Steel is pretty weak without strong item modifiers and, in my opinion, should just be relied on for the Circle of Slaughter Fumble debuff + massive Bleeding Damage. Witch Hunter is a tough class unless you are trying to stack damage on RoS or onto the WPS skills.
In my opinion, I would use the Pit Master’s Axe with a Blademaster instead and focus on dumping as much Bleeding Damage as I can with enough Physical Damage to leech from. Your theorycraft forced me to make this next build I will post right after this - GT theorycrafting is an addiction!
Build Comment: I was just inspired to make this build from @gumshoe’s WH theorycraft focusing on the Pit Master’s Axe. This build leaned heavily into the 1-handed Blade Arc and 1-handed RoS to push as much Bleeding Damage as I could to a large group. Focusing on that led me to use the Bloody Whetstone and Oleron’s Blood components which I rarely, if ever, use on characters. Kudos there for getting me to use something new! Overall, the Physical Damage is sufficient with the good amount of ADCtH to leech in the face of groups and the 90% Reflect Resistance helps against my own long duration bleeds. Build was tight on resists (Reflect, Elemental & Chaos) with Oleron’s Wrath Relic, so I swapped to Serenity for a Cheat Death proc and to fix the resists.
Edit: I found a perfect sword for this character that is based off of the Primarch of the Blood Angels Space Marine Chapter from Warhammer 40k: Sanguinius the Great Angel
This is favorite WH40k Primarch of my son and so I made it with him in mind. He was very happy to see I made it for him and then he asked me to make 3 other Primarchs in GD… little did he know I already have DDD Builds I can adapt and just give them some #Flair to finish them up!
So, anyone looking to try their hand at Acid + Bleeding, the game has a total of 6 items giving a bonus to both.
(1 weapon, 1 shield, 2 medals, 1 belt and 1 relic)
But conveniently, 4 of the 6 support Acid Grasping vine specifically
So the build kinda writes itself.
If nobody does it in the next few days, I’m just gonna modify My GV Archon (which already has those 4 items equipped anyway) and steer it slightly more towards bleed.
Acid/Bleeding is the toughest DDD Build in the game and I think you may have solved that riddle. I was part-way there with my build, but I went Trickster using Savagery/Feral Hunger with a Balgor’s Crusher. Skills were ABB/Grasping Vines/RoS. If it works I’ll post it. This damage type melted my brain for a while trying to get something made in GT!
Can’t wait to see your build and what you do with it!
I was looking at Lightning + Bleediing primal strike, but eh… not sure how. You can start with Stormrend, then you have like 1 item in half the slots, then nothing
Yeah, that’s about it. I forgot Lightning/Bleeding is equally head-exploding! I theorycrafted a 2H Ranged Lightning/Bleeding Upheaval Warder, but changed it to Archon. Other than that, I’ve got a half-made Primal Strike Archon w/ Stormrend like you suggested. We’ll see how they turn out!
Edit: I’ve got a decent 1H Stormrend Archon going, just need to get the resists in order! I’ll try to clean it up tonight or tomorrow and post it up.
Curious what it looks like. All I’ve come up with so far (wip) is: Archon, Level 100 (GD 1.2.1.2) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator
It’s dual wielding stormrend atm, but maybe some off-hand or shield would be an option as well. It’s far from optimal either way
I reckon it’d have to be combined with something else to count, unless it’s actually all lightning + fire + cold bonuses. So Elemental+Aether or something.
It turned out to be not good enough. Attack Speed was maybe 130-140%(?). I abandoned it and made a 2H Ranged Archon instead with Evoker of Elgoloth, but that was lacking as well. I just changed it to a 2H Ranged Conjurer and will test it out.
That’s for when Berzerker comes out.
Tri-elemental is a grey area for me personally and it’s one that I thought on a bit. Ultimately I decided that if the build was truly Tri-elemental, then yes, it would qualify. I think I’ve made only a few that are truly Tri-elemental DDD Builds… I’ll go through my list and see.
Definitely making a DDD Aether/Elemental Build is possible and I have a couple of those as well. Now the question begs to be asked, is this a Dual Damage Build or a Quad Damage Build?
Yup, especially if you’re doing Ghol Ritualist, that thing have natural affinity towards acid/bleeding. Also, one can do Beastcaller Briar with acid stick.
