I think the inventory system is great, but there is one thing that I feel is lacking. I think it would be great if you could manually select where resources are dropped off from resource generating buildings.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but workers travel the shortest distance in order to store produced good right?
This has proved quite troublesome at times where I have forgotten to deselect a certain resource from being dropped off at a certain place. In my most recent save, a lot of my fish seemed to spoil really quickly until I’d found out that it was being delivered to my storehouse rather than my root cellar. XD
Once I turned this off, it solved that problem, it took quite a bit of time to empty after that, which leads me on to a second suggestion.
Here are the two suggestions.
-
Being able to manually select where a resource should be dropped off from a resource or production building - e.g. Telling a fisherman to store fish in a root cellar - specifying to the hunter to store meat in the root cellar, and then pelts and tallow in the storehouse. etc
-
Be able order the transfer of resources from one storage building to another. - e.g Giving the order to transfer planks of wood from one stockyard to another across the city. This I see being useful in particularly big cities with small market hubs, or specific production lines. etc.
I’ve been loving this game so far, you’ve done a fantastic job, hopefully the new content keeps coming.
