Shattered Realm questions

Hi! Could you please help with understanding Shattered Realm?

1. Is there an ultimate goal? How many shards are there?
2. Once I reached a specific shard, how can I return there from the world map? There are some consumables for that, but not much info is available.
3. What are the consequences of death in Shattered Realm?
4. How does the timer affect rewards? If I ran out of time in one shard, will the timer be updated in the next?
5. Which shards grant skill points and other special rewards?
6. What are bonuses of the shrines (figures) and how long are the buffs active? Oleron gives +33% total damage and -8% phys resist.
7. Do enemies of the same rarity grant souls with the same probability? Is there any sense to spend time on tanky ones?
8. Does the reward depend on the # of the final shard or on how many shards were accomplished during the current run?
9. Do the ruined shrines in the treasure room give special rewards?

Guys… Seriously?..
The game crashed after so many hours in the SR. And the devs did not implemented any kind of autosave for such cases. Looks like the new game mode is a total crap, isn’t it? What are your opinions, sirs and madams?

You can craft waystones to start on higher shard
Also after every 5 realms completed you have autosave.On 25 you get 3 skill points.There are no penalties for dying or not complete it in time,other than less reward(slight difference),realms are infinite.

My opinion is that SR is a nice farming mode that I much prefer to Crucible because I don’t have to worry about Tributes and, I can see my build perform in a more “natural” way than buffed with the Crucible Benedictions. I do feel it brings more variation than Crucible, and I like to make small forays into it, advancing 5 shards at a time, or just farming where I feel I’m comfortable.
It is less rewarding tahn Cruci, but you can tune it better to suit your tastes.

Nevermind. The task manager tells me I am playing 32.
It crashed again in the 19th shard. Even had to restart PC.

I believe you get the waystone blueprints when you cash out. They are available at shards 5, 20, 35, 50, and 65. Each waystone gives access to 3 different points (ex: the shard 5 waystone allows you to start at 5, 10, or 15, once you’ve cleared those depths).

The rewards at lower shards is pretty small, but the higher shards give a ton of loot. If you start at 75 and cash out at 76, the reward is roughly 2x what you get from Gladaitor 151-170.

While I am progressing, is it better to cash out every 5 or more levels?
There are ruined shrines in the treasure room. Are they special? Looks like the most expensive ones.

Thanks for this info I just finished and did a couple of shards before I had to quit. 1 thing I immediately hated was being on a timer. I prefer to go at my speed and not have to rush. So if Im understanding correctly you can let the timer go out? You don’t get booted? Just get less loot. That’s nice to know. tx!

You just get less loot.

It would be good to know more precisely how the loot is counted. For example, it takes 12 minutes for my char to accomplish Crucible 151-170. Comparable amount of loot is obtained through Shards 45-50 (6shards). It takes much more time, moreover, there are impossible boss combos sometimes - and you get nothing in this case. And while Crucible is free, SR requires rare materials.

What rare materials?If you mean shrines,they are not mandatory and often if they take from your build vital stats you should skip.As for not finishing in time is one chest less,no biggie full kite mode engaged.

I never activated these shrines. Is there anything special about them?

But how do you start at 75? Since the highest waystone is 65?

Once you go complete Shard 75, the next time you can choose to start at 65/70/75 when using a Celestial Waystone.

Once you do the prerequisite quests, you can talk to the person standing near the boob statues and get to SR.

You need the quest to kill eldritch enemies and then I think to select faction.After that talk to Mazaan.PS in Shattered realm you will be protected by Shatner.Jim Kirk,why you are so awesome:D

I think it is the one where you pick which cult to follow between the 3. Then you have to talk to that guy and he will open the portal for you.
