Smoker hut has really inefficient travel times

Even if I have a stockyard solely for firewood and a root cellar solely for raw and cooked meat the travel efficiency is still really bad. Maybe if the smoker hut was upgradeable so you could have 1-2 more people for transportation and larger food loads. once i started getting 1-2 farms going i was making 3000k meat a year and most of it was spoiling because the huts were really slow.

I had 2 farms producing 3k meat plus 10 hunters on a map. Equally adapting the number of smoke houses to 8 and I had roughly 300 raw meat and about 4-5k smoked meat.

I definitely admit that it could’ve been a poor set up/design that led to some of my issues. Though it’d still be pretty nice, and I think useful as well, to be able to upgrade the smoker to get some extra manpower behind it for late game.

I put a bunch of smokers near my barn where the farm people typically store the meat with about 4 others scattered throughout the other parts of town, went from wasting over 5k meat each harvest to smoking 80-90% of it and only wasting around 300-500 meat each year.

I have at least 8 or 9 smokers though, they have to be able to handle the influx of new cattle meat every year, so more the merrier. Would be nice to have at least a 2 person smokehouse, one for stocking and one for smoking, but not sure if that would be better or worse

Maybe a butcher could be an alternative, paired with a new raw material called salt that would process raw meat into whatever you want to call the processed meat.

I think even if you don’t really need better smokers or more options to preserve all your meat more ways to do so would still be amazing. If it happens, either through upgrades or new buildings, it’d be really cool.
