Some Effigies (green off-hands) drop rates

As an author of Aether PRM Spellbinder I have gotten quite a few complaints about farming the off-hand for this build. For some reason those two Effigies (and one for mines iirc) don’t have any heroes that drop them. That makes farming them a real pain in the ass (tried it myself: you basically have to scour Tyrant’s hold PRAYING you meet Stone Clan shaman). And then it often drops with double magic affix.

For some reason it’s just these three off-hands that don’t have corresponding hero mobs that drop them.

weird part is there is only 1 base game Groble hero dropping non Sky effigy, a poison/elemental hero, that ofc drops the Vitality/Death effigy :rofl:
always been a funny little curiosity when noticing
Unsure why basegame Sky and FG vile/sand effigy has so many heroes dropping it, but the other basegame grobbles don’t, but it makes it kinda worse when there’s also a lack of dangerous domain zones on top(DEE/venomclan) - ngl feels like “jackpot” when you get that during levelling a run through of Burrwitch if aware of the low chance

Can confirm. And they’re all on holiday when you go looking for them.

This is all true. Farming for a single-rare stone effigy is unfeasibly slow. Aiming for a kinda good single rare actually feels unrealistic.

I don’t have much to add but confirm this further; settled on a Stalwart of Frostbite to level my Panettis character because I didn’t want to invest another 2 hours of farming during leveling :joy:

seems they drop like candy now
unsure what happened/what the numbers are or if just grand RNG, but i just got a dozen clearing Bloodfeast once :sweat_smile:

but def felt out of the norm with how many this was on the trip just clearing the quest

Checked in files of live patch and current playtest build, drop rates are the same

alright so i tried again

7 PRM effigies, 2 fire ones, 1 death (Nabinok sole hero spawn)

then i ran a char on Ultimate, i got 3 prm offhands, total, no other

*small sample size yes i know
but still tho, that’s 2 for 2 on Veteran atleast, idono if it’s just great RNG in a “row”, or if drops are actually better on Vet than Ult somehow :thinking:

def seems funky either way, and the Ult run being much more as the usual stingy (but neither did this much seem normal for Vet previously)
