1: upgradeable compost yards. even if the upgrade just added an extra worker. With the addition of new animals coming, and higher pops the number of compost yards needed to keep disease and rat under control will be nuts.
2: guards keep their job if tower destroyed. It’s kind of annoying to have a tower or barracks with fully decked out guards only to have them turn into laborer’s, throw away all their equipment, and run the moment the tower is destroyed in an attack. it makes weapons and armor for tower guards almost pointless.
3: let us choose what to stock our barns with/fodder does not spoil. i have mountains of grain, and they stock the barn with turnips in spring, only to have the spoil it fall and have to be restocked
4:more preserve options. greens would be a much more viable crop option if you could preserve them to off set the fast spoil time.
The Compost got a ‘half upgrade’ when the composting of fields became automatic a couple of Updates ago. That reduced the micromanagement associated with the composters dramatically. Now they just have to review Composting (along with a bunch of other mechanics) in light of, as you posted, more animals, more population and potentially, therefore, much more for them to do.
They have said that in the (near) future we are going to get the ability to specialize ‘soldiers’, as in mounted types and archers. Extend this to Guards, as in being able to man the towers with specialized archers/crossbowmen, and it would solve many of the problems associated with over-equipped guards and loss of weapons and armor that they never used.
Likewise, they have hinted at more control over storage and movement of resources and goods among storage facilities. Extend this to Barns and Markets and it would make my game nearly complete: I don’t know how often I’ve seen a market continuously restocked with the same two types of food even though I have 4 - 5 types available and stored nearby, so upgrading to Tier 3 or 4 is delayed until the Market workers get off their *&^%$ duffs and stock a third type of food. Being able to specify what barns, markets, stockyards, storehouses, root cellars, etc are storing by type and quantity would be a huge improvement.
