Some useless features, notifications?

I understand that the early stage of game development means throwing a lot of stuff in and later thinking how to actually make it work or just scrap it. Some work or scrap is required on all events where i cannot fix anything obvious with some strategic decisions.

House is burning - ok, i go look. Indeed it burns and people are putting it out. OK - where were i… In real life some small water ponds are dug near settlements for fire safety. I hope there will be terrain tools for lowering land until it hits water. This would also enable fish farming. Maybe also make natural water to increase desirability?

Droughts - OK it makes some nasty visuals to my display. Should i throw water into somewhere now? Is this climate change my fault? Some ponds and better wells near fields and houses would reduce the damage of this? If yes, then this mechanics need to be said very clearly to player. It would make sense if lakes and ponds would have lower water too then. Natural water should be good enough for farming and fire-fighting. Wells are more for human drinking i guess.

It seems that this topic turned out more like a water-pond-mechanics suggestion which was not my original intention

Nice ! But… would it let game mechanics allow us to reach 500 villagers at 1 fps ?
Seems greedy in data processing ?

What you mean exactly would take the processing? The water plane can be fully a static single plane that would render only lower ground places like it does now. Villagers, riders, animals, arrows can take some serious CPU if they are not optimized. There are some stuff that can be simplified or taken away that actually would make the game more playable with better focus on the more important thing that this game actually wants to be. But maybe the designers need to take some meetings and really talk this trough what are the good key things for player in this game and what are nice-to-have ideas that actually create bugs, regular no-brain clicking or load to CPU.
